We see you, Wave 4!

Our recent AAU coverage has honed in on teams and players from Wave 2 and 3, but the 17s just completed their stay in Orlando to close out the event. Wave 4 was full of top performers from the Cornhusker State, so we're drumming up more squad shoutouts for today's feature.

Here are some of Nebraska's overachieving 17U squads from the final set of AAU matches.

[program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 17 Navy

Another rise to the podium for [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'].

You've probably seen our coverage of [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 16 Navy's championship run in Wave 3's 16 Club division. 17 Navy has followed suit with a top-three placement in 17 Aspire, giving the club another team in the upper echelon of its respective group.

We can't envision a better start to an event than the one 17 Navy put together. Round 1 was punctuated with three consecutive sweeps in which no team scored more than 17 points in a single set. This was just the start of [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs']' dominance, as the team mustered a nearly identical feat in Round 2. None of 17 Navy's second-round opponents got past 16 points on Day 2.

The sweep streak was extended to eight with 17 Navy earning a 2-0 start in the third round. [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] suffered its first loss of the event in the pool finale but bounced back in the challenger match to reach Gold.

17 Navy tabbed one more win to finish tied for third in the division. It's a worthy finale for a roster full of prep stars we'll be covering this fall.

Club Legacy 17 Bravo

We're getting Club Legacy into the mix, of course.

17 Bravo battled through the 17 Spirit division and was in the Gold hunt through most of the wave. A 2-1 opening round was followed by a similarly successful outing on Day 2.

Round 3 would oust Club Legacy from the top group, but the comeback was on for Orlando's final day of volleyball. 17 Bravo defeated TeamD, Epic United, and SRVC to claim the Ruby bracket and conclude the 2025 club season.

Get ready for all the player spotlights from this squad. Future senior leaders abound.

Nebraska Elite 17 Koa

Nebraska Elite 17 Koa has always drawn our attention at prominent events. This is a group of seasoned athletes who can seize the spotlight at places like Orlando.

17 Koa was nearly untouchable through the first three rounds of AAU action. Triumphs over SWMNVB, Iowa Select, and A4 quickly put Nebraska Elite into Round 2 of 17 Club's top group.

Three more matches led to three more sweeps. 17 Koa did not drop a set until Metro VBC won a three-set nail-biter in the Round 3 finale.

Momentum was halted after Nebraska Elite's heartbreaking loss in the challenger round. 17 Koa registered one more win to finish 9-3 and place firmly in the division's top half.

https://x.com/KingsleyATK/status/1751324030173344135

Nebraska Elite 17 Prime

We've always harped on how fickle the challenger round can be. That's how we'll preface our discussion of Nebraska Elite 17 Prime's successful tenure at AAUs.

17 Prime put its early stamp on Round 1 with sweeps against OVVC, WPVC, and VC United. The set victory streak swelled to ten before a tiebreaker win over Lions South to wrap up the second round.

The perfect record persisted with Prime's 3-0 mark in Round 3. This yielded a 9-0 mark heading into the challenger round, where 17 Prime was a win away from the Gold bracket. Unfortunately, the team's first loss came in this winner-take-all contest at the end of Day 3.

Nebraska Elite showed its poise and resilience by winning every set of Friday's bracket play. It's a final tally of 12-1, and we have much to discuss regarding 17 Prime's up-and-coming athletes.

Nebraska Juniors 17 Black

This was always a squad to watch in Nebraska's regional scene. Nebraska Juniors 17 Black concluded the season on a positive note at AAU Nationals.

Orlando had a rigorous 17 Open field, and 17 Black experienced its share of ups and downs during pool play. However, Friday's final bracket featured Nebraska Juniors' finest moments. A trio of straight-set wins over Iowa Rockets, CIA, and Vaqueras gave Nebraska Juniors the Emerald bracket title and plenty of upbeat energy at the season's conclusion.

[program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 17 Navy Another rise to the podium for [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs']. You've probably seen our coverage of [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 16 Navy's championship run in Wave 3's 16 Club division. 17 Navy has followed suit with a top-three placement in 17 Aspire, giving the club another team in the upper echelon of its respective group.…
