USA Jr Nationals, which will be held in Las Vegas in early July, is the ultimate test to the end of the season as it will bring together all of the teams who have earned a bid to participate. These wonderful teams have proven themselves through a very long and grueling club season and will compete against other top-notch teams who have earned the right to play in this prestigious tourney. We will be highlighting teams and individual players from the 16 National division that we think you should be watching during the tourney in this series of articles. Let's take a look at a few names to know!

Rage 16 Garren

Rage won their bid at the Northern California Regional Tourney. They are led by head coach Garren Allala. I love the passion and skills that libero Lilly Wisdom plays with. She uses her hands very well like a setter and has total control over the ball. Every college coach would love a fiery back row floor general like her. Outside hitter Maryn Hall is a tall left side who understands playing chess with her opponents. Her ability to move the ball around offensively to different spots on the court lead to more efficient scoring opportunities for her and her teammates. She has a high contact point which makes it hard for blockers to stop her. Middles Brynn Bohn and Jolie Leggitt provide some great targets for setters to hit. They both run hard toward the net in order to use momentum in their attack. Setter Aubrey Trip feeds them really well in order to stay aggressive against opponents. I really like the way she pushes the ball behind her to her opposite hitter to create some seams in the block. Outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='472099' first='Haley' last='Smith'] is fearless at the net. I love how aggressive she is while giving her team a fighting chance in every match. One of the best aspects of her play is how she is ready and willing to play all six rotations and give her all to her squad. The three-sport stud is a true baller and we are going to love watching her in person at nationals this summer. Keep your eye on this team as they look to battle against the best this nation has to offer.

Excel 16 White

16 White won their bid at the North Texas Regional Tourney. They are led by head coach Jeremy Tongkeamha. It all starts with the setters for this squad. I love how Tiyana Bhatte moves the ball around and creates mismatches. In one rally she will feed the middle on a quick attack and the next rally she will bring the outside hitter in for a second tempo set out of the middle. This is the next level of setting that is advanced and keeps opposing blockers to have timing issues. One middle who capitalizes on every opportunity is Alexa Patterson. She runs a very fast route in front of the setter and swings with violence. Outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='413100' first='Grace' last='Schneekloth'] is a tall left side attacker who can score in bunches. Her size and power are two things that college coaches should be noting. Her ability to stay in the back row and offer offense are key to this team's aggressiveness. Outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='210628' first='McKenna' last='Morton'] provides some more offensive spark for this awesome squad. She is not afraid to swing away from any location along the net. Middle Ella Sharoni is a talented blocker who moves well along the net. Sophie Wilson is a solid libero who helps this team's ball control. She is very active all over the court and covers her teammates extremely well. Chloe Davis is the other half of the 6-2 offense who dishes the rock. She can serve tough and the offense does not skip a beat when she enters the game. We will be watching them closely and you should also.
