The Class of 2027 has a lot of talent that have been doing big things on the national scene during the club season.

While some of them still have yet to get a chance to shine on the prep level, those days are soon approaching with the 2024 season not far off.

We have 20 players ranked in the Class of 2027, but the Watch List is full of players that could go on to reach the next level.

Here's a look at a handful of those Watch List players and what they are bringing to the court.

Players listed alphabetically

[player_tooltip player_id='442988' first='Kaylah' last='Liedke'], DS/L Romeo/Michigan Elite

Liedke is looking very comfortable in the back row. Whether at libero or DS, she looks in control of her space and makes active decisions when approaching the ball. She doesn't hesitate on making her play, which is leading to good accuracy for her setters. Liedke has also shown a solid serve that manages to swing momentum.

[player_tooltip player_id='490381' first='Caylin' last='Lindsay'], OH Hartland/Michigan Elite

Lindsay is looking like she could be one of the most productive hitters in the class. She already has a lot of experience against top hitters of various ages and is holding her own in each case. Lindsay has picture-perfect form and is getting a lot of good swings on out-of-system balls. She looks composed while moving around the floor and has improved on her timing with each week.

[player_tooltip player_id='454371' first='Riley' last='Loehfelm'], OH FH Northern/FaR Out

Loehfelm looks poised to be one of the leading hitters in the Grand Rapids area for the next three years. A 6'1” outside, Loehfelm has a great combination of size and athleticism to be a dominant hitter at the net. Her swing looks picturesque and she's got the ability to turn another gear when she really needs to put a ball away. She spreads her attacks out as well to not be predictable with her placement.

[player_tooltip player_id='442989' first='Kyler' last='Madison'], DS/L Milford/Dynamite

Madison has proven to be a dig machine. She really takes charge in the back row and does everything in her power to get to every ball. Madison won't be caught flat-footed. She stays light on her feet and keeps moving to make sure she gets a good first step toward the play. She reads the court well and her instincts tend to be right. Her experience and leadership abilities are going to put her in the top level of this class when it comes to defensive players.

[player_tooltip player_id='454363' first='Akylah' last='Marshall'], OH Saline/HVVC

Marshall is a player that you don't have to question her desire to succeed. She stays locked-in when the ball comes her way to make sure she makes the best play possible. She reads the defense well and can adjust late in her swing to play an offspeed option. Defensively, Marshall battles hard as well. She wins a lot of 50-50 balls just through her effort. When Marshall gets a clean look offensively, she generates a lot of velocity on the ball. She's got a high ceiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='523863' first='Willow' last='Mason'], MH Heritage/Five:1

Mason is listed at 5'9”, but she plays well above blockers with her impressive vertical and long reach. Mason makes getting off the floor look quite effortless, but she has a lot of spring and she can high-point the ball. She doesn't need a lot of power to finish points because she's able to bring the ball down at such a sharp angle. As she adds in more power, she has the potential to be a real breakout candidate for 2027 middles.

[player_tooltip player_id='442977' first='Demi' last='McCoy'], OH Country Day/Michigan Elite

McCoy has been able to catch a lot of eyes with her explosiveness, which hasn't stopped this past club season. But, to go with her power, McCoy is becoming a stronger all-around player. She doesn't have to rely on just power to finish points and she is improving a lot as a defender. McCoy still has arm speed that can compete with anyone in the class, which makes her a threat whenever she's on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='523848' first='Nicole' last='McDowell'], MH/OH Notre Dame Prep/Legacy

McDowell plays big at the net and can be very imposing. She does a good job reading opposing hitters and times out her block attempts well. On the attack, McDowell is able to play anywhere along the net. She's got a short and compact swing, but the ball really pops off her hand and comes at defenders quickly. She can be a great asset for Notre Dame Prep in the upcoming seasons.
