2027 Watch List Profiles, Means-Naplin

You can get $10 off your registration when you sign up by using code “EllisDig2024.” Be sure to register today.</em></p>   <p>The Class of 2027 has a lot of talent that have been doing big things on the national scene during the club season.</p>   <p>While some of them still have yet to get a chance to shine on the prep level, those days are soon approaching with the 2024 season not far off.</p>   <p>We have 20 players ranked in the Class of 2027, but the Watch List is full of players that could go on to reach the next level.</p>   <p>Here's a look at a handful of those Watch List players and what they are bringing to the court.</p>   <p><em>Players listed alphabetically</em></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='490027' first='Amariana' last='Means'], OH Okemos/Attack</strong></h2>   <p>Means is a hitter that has good potential. She can be a breakout player as she gets a better feel for her timing and pace. Sometimes she can rush a swing, but when she approaches the net with composure, she puts a solid swing on the ball. Her energy level is a big strength, as Means can bring a lot of intensity to the court throughout a long match.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442996' first='Melayna' last='Minyard'], OH Chelsea/Haifive</strong></h2>   <p>Minyard is a prospect that got a lot of opportunities this past club season. She showed a well-rounded game, as she stood out as a defender. She puts a lot of effort to get to every ball she can defensively. That effort and energy tends to lead to good things. Offensively, Minyard stays within herself and makes clean plays, but she's picking up on a faster and more aggressive pace.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442984' first='Joelle' last='Mio'], DS/L Marian/Michigan Elite</strong></h2>   <p>Mio is a quick 5'1” defender that covers a lot of space but always looks locked into the point and her responsibilities. She is consistent with her serve receive and form, doing a good job of getting low to the ground and squaring up to the ball. One area that Mio can also make a difference is from the service line. She puts a challenging serve over the net that helps keep opponents out-of-system.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442993' first='Madison' last='Monroe'], DS/L Marian/Legacy</strong></h2>   <p>Monroe has had a good club season, getting tested against a lot of elite hitters to help elevate her play and decision-making. It looks to be paying off, as she was a playing at a high level at the end of the club year. She's got a smooth delivery that makes some of her digs look relatively effortless. Her vision and footwork also work to her advantage.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='443000' first='Samantha' last='Monroe'], MH Marian/Legacy</strong></h2>   <p>Monroe was a solid hitting role player for Legacy 15-1 ADIDAS this club season, helping the team claim an AAU national title while being up against the best of the best in the country most events. Monroe has a big windup, but it leads to a lot of explosive power. She showcased good footwork and the ability to make a devastating slide attack. Her blocking improved as well, making her someone that should make a big impact in the year's ahead.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='546052' first='Cecilia' last='Murray'], RS Marian/Michigan Elite</strong></h2>   <p>Murray showed that she makes the most out of each ball that comes her way. She can make a solid out-of-system attack, but also can just play the ball where the defense isn't through her awareness on the court. When she gets a good look, her length allows her to delay her swing, ever so slightly, to uncork a powerful attack.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='481385' first='Allison' last='Musial'], OH/DS Grand Haven/MVA</strong></h2>   <p>Musial has good length to go with a lot of quickness. She is a valuable asset as a defender because she moves well around the floor and has been consistent with her serve receive and passing. Offensively, Musial has a strong swing that brings a lot of momentum on her follow through. She can power through blockers and isn't afraid to attack the boundary lines.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523843' first='Addison' last='Naplin'], OH Vicksburg/FaR Out</strong></h2>   <p>Naplin looks like she has elevated her game to another level this club season, which could mean big things for her fall season. She can play at either pin and her athleticism allows her to get a lot of air time and deliver some powerful kills. The ball really takes off off her hand and doesn't give defenders much chance to dig it up. I like her energy on the court as well. She plays with a lot of intensity.</p>
