We are super excited to partner with USA Volleyball once again to run the official college recruiting showcase for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The first session was held on July 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. This series of articles will discuss those special players that stood out for various reasons to our court coaches and scouts. They have won our prestigious Top Performer award. Let's meet the winners!

Alyssa is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball at Coronado High School and also plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='429436' first='La' last='Jolla Volleyball'] club. Miss Jovero wowed her court coaches in both the positional drills and the scrimmage drills. One thing you notice about her play in the back row is how wide she keeps her base at all times. This is super helpful to aid in her stellar balance. I also love how she is able to maneuver laterally with some long lunge steps to dig balls outside her midline. This young lady was not afraid to get on the floor if she had to in order to keep the ball in play for her team. I loved how she had a laser focus on the opposing side trying to decipher where the ball would be attacked from. Her depth perception was at an all time high as she was able to judge if the ball would land short and move toward it perfectly. Her platform was well away from her body which allowed her to soften the contact of hard driven attacks and serves. We are very proud of her production at the showcase. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.

[player_tooltip player_id='482033' first='Mckenna' last='Giles'] [2026] 5-5 Libero (HS: Centennial/Club: Pipeline/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Mckenna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball at Centennial High School and club for the Pipeline volleyball program. I love liberos who have no regard for their body as they punish the floor by sprawling out everywhere to keep the ball alive. Miss Giles is the type of libero who would run through a brick wall with no questions asked in order to get an “up”. She covered so much ground while covering her hitters and pursuing shanked passes. Her relentless pursuit of the ball during our “run through” drill was top notch. But the aspect that stood out the most is her amazing emergency techniques on defense. As a digger, you will have to use every single part of your body to keep the ball alive and her arms were very busy. It almost seems as if she has a superpower that allows her arms to stretch far away from her body to touch the ball. Her reaction time with these digs were astounding. My jaw dropped a few times when watching her defense. If you have not seen her yet, I strongly suggest you give her a look. In the meantime, please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at the showcase.

Madison Hewitson [2026] 6-0 Right Side (HS: Trinity Catholic/Club: Ocala Power/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Madison is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Florida State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Trinity Catholic High School and club for the Ocala Power volleyball program. Miss Hewitson is a talented and powerful lefty who can score with authority on the right side. Her upper body strength is immense and she unloads fury on her opponents with every swing. Maddie takes a very big approach with a deep plant and upswing, which adds a lot of momentum into getting her up in the air fast. The swooping approach of hers looks picturesque to volleyball purists like myself. And I love how thunderous her down swing is. As an attacker, what stands out is how she uses her entire body to create a lot of pace on the ball when she makes contact with it. Any team that she goes up against will have some trouble if they don't commit two blockers on her. If not, she will tear them apart with home runs. She was definitely a top scorer on her court at the showcase. This is why her court coach nominated her for a Top Performer award. Help us congratulate her on this achievement.
