We are super excited to partner with USA Volleyball once again to run the official college recruiting showcase for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The second session was held on July 7th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. This series of articles will discuss those special players that stood out for various reasons to our court coaches and scouts. They have won our prestigious Top Performer award. Let's meet the winners!

[player_tooltip player_id='433625' first='Ava' last='Perrin'] [2027] 5-8 Outside (HS: Lovejoy/Club: Frisco Flyers/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Ava is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball at the famed Lovejoy High School and also plays for the Frisco Flyers volleyball club. Miss Perrin is a solid six rotation outside hitter who can do a lot on the court for any team she plays for. Her court coaches were really impressed with how she was able to play both front row and back row at a high level. The way she uses her arms during her approach help to get her up in the air an extra couple of inches. Her back row play is what really drew a lot of coaches to marvel at. She uses her platform very well to rebound the ball with great angles. The other aspect that I truly liked was how she used all of her body to keep the ball in play. Her emergency techniques while digging help keep her team in every rally. She is not afraid to get on the floor if need be and sacrifice her body for the betterment of the team. Her swing is lethal also and scores well for any squad she attacks for. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.

[player_tooltip player_id='528537' first='Charleston' last='Hermann'] [2027] 6-1 Outside (HS: Cardinal Mooney/Club: Sarasota Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Charlee is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Florida State Rankings, but that is only because they have not been released yet. She plays volleyball at Cardinal Mooney High School and club for the Sarasota Juniors volleyball program. Miss Hermann stole the show on her court as she was a beast at the net scoring at will. As a scout, it is nice to see such a young player with a very tall and strong frame move very smoothly on the court in her position. She is blessed with an absolute cannon for a right arm. What I love is how she is able to hit every shot on the left side pin and also come around for second tempo shots out of the middle. She takes a picturesque approach and caps it off with an electric down swing for the kill. Her attitude was fun to watch as you can tell she truly loves to play the game. Her blocking was also elite as she shut down many players at the net. Due to her ability to play back row, she is a diamond find for any coach to start watching now. In my humble opinion, she will be a star, so you should be writing her name down as a player to watch. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at the showcase.

Emily Avila [2027] 5-4 Setter (HS: American Canyon/Club: Club Solano/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Emily is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but turned some heads with her play at the showcase. She plays volleyball at American Canyon High School and also for the Club Solano program. Miss Avila played very big despite her five foot four height. She is not to be denied on the volleyball court if she has anything to say about it. It didn't matter where the ball was passed because she was tracking it down very well. She played exceptional defense out of right back when needed. The way she moved the ball around to all of her hitters was impressive. I liked how she was ready to do anything on the court to keep the ball in play and deliver it to her hitters. She even had the ability to set one-handed to the middle a few times during out of system passes that were very close to the net. All in all, she possesses soft hands that look identical to each other when contacting and releasing the ball. Her court coaches were impressed with her play and nominated her for the award. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award for this showcase.
