There was a talented group of 2026 prospects that took part in the 2024 Michigan Stock Up Showcase on Sunday in Pontiac.

We will be sure to get to them all throughout the week.

Let's continue with the next collection of players in Part 3.

[player_tooltip player_id='549397' first='Savannah' last='Hatchew'], DS/L Sparta/Inside Out

Hatchew could get lost in the shuffle of a busy court, but that is because she would be well hidden behind the larger hitters. The 5'2” Hatchew was moving around a lot and getting into good placement to make a dig. Even when it seemed like she was out of place, she still managed to position her arms to get the ball accurately to the setter. Her serving was a strength as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='490335' first='Makayla' last='Bruman'], S/RS Imlay City/Team 27

Bruman was one of the most polished setters at the showcase. Her sets were really smooth and looked like they came off her hands effortlessly. She's plays with a quiet swagger and confidence that allows her hitters to shine. At 5'11”, Bruman could also turn on the ball herself. She had a smooth swing, which isn't surprising considering her sets were on autopilot throughout the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='261189' first='Madolyne' last='Winowski'], S/RS Oxford/High Performance

A 5'10” left-handed setter, Winowski already brought a unique skillset to the showcase on Sunday. She's not afraid to take the lead either, which is an important trait for her position. She did a good job communicating during drills and leading during scrimmage play. Her sets were consistent in accuracy and she did a nice job of mixing up locations. Winowski also can put the ball down, which gives her teams a lot of flexibility in the lineup.

[player_tooltip player_id='583941' first='Isabelle' last='Schillman'], S Waterbrook Academy/Arsenal

[player_tooltip player_id='583941' first='Isabelle' last='Schillman']

A new name on the Prep Dig scene is Schillman. She hit the ground running during the showcase and displayed some good things in a crowded field of veteran setters. She was one that did a good job of applying what she was learning on the fly and making it work for her. Her sets lacked some consistency in the early going, but she found a groove as the showcase went on.

[player_tooltip player_id='586765' first='Ava' last='Boldman'], DS/L Lansing Catholic/Five:1

Boldman did a lot of positive things during the showcase. Her coverage area as a defender was very wide. She was one of the best at the event at backing up her hitters and keeping the ball off the ground after a block. Boldman is a scrappy player that times out her dives well. You couldn't count her out of getting to any ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='491867' first='Brailey' last='Gibson'], DS/L Clinton/Athlete HQ

Gibson was a little bit on the quiet side, but she did let her play do the talking. She made some athletic plays and was particularly strong in her out-of-system feeds to the hitters. She played a nice ball that still gave her hitters a chance to put down a power swing. As she gets more comfortable in a leadership role, Gibson should be able to take charge defensively and play with more confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='261181' first='Laurin' last='Edwards'], OH Cass Tech/Michigan Elite

Edwards made some waves in last year's showcases and she picked up where she left off on Sunday. She plays with good energy that seems to be contagious for the players she's alongside. Edwards has big air off the floor and that leads to some powerful swings. Her technique is smooth though, as she doesn't have to be reckless to get that highlight-reel kill. Defensively, Edwards stays engaged and looks to be a difference maker.
