H.S. Preview – Returning Veterans, New Prospects

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As the 2024-25 High School volleyball season quickly approaches, the excitement and anticipation are getting on the nerves of every player, coach and parent. Several questions coming to my mind since this is my first coverage of high school volleyball in the state of Florida. Looking at the results of the previous season several teams finished with superb positive records demonstrating the high quality of playing in the state. As I research every school roster and recognized the names of numerous powerhouse players from the club season playing in the same school, it is evident of their dominance. Having the opportunity of observing so many talented players during the club season, I'm without a doubt super excited about what this new high school has to offer. Teams are warming up preseason games, here are some results of those games and stand out players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://winterparkathletics.org/teams/4563732/girls/volleyball/varsity">Winter Park</a> - Finishing with an impressive record of 29-3 in 2023 season, the Wildcats started the season with a win on 3-0 over Orangewood Christian. The Wildcats have in the roster stellar players including 5'9" Senior Setter [player_tooltip player_id='526047' first='Tyler' last='Peluso'], 5'10" Junior Outside Hitter [player_tooltip player_id='519236' first='Amelia' last='Mancino'], 6'1" Junior Middle [player_tooltip player_id='535524' first='Sophia' last='Stallworth'] and 6'5" Sophomore <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19761721/Isabel-Incinelli">[player_tooltip player_id='764473' first='Isabel' last='Incinelli']</a>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://www.cdspatriots.org/athletics/teams-schedules/team-details/~athletics-team-id/31">Carrollwood Day</a> - 2023 State Champions count with a deep roster for this upcoming season, counting with the stellar 6'6" Junior offensive player [player_tooltip player_id='529620' first='Elena' last='Dibbs-Frantz'], 6'3" Senior Middle and OH [player_tooltip player_id='455061' first='Sarah' last='Dibbs-Frantz'] and 6'2" Sophomore OPP/OH <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/18185190/lydia-chinchar">Lydia Chinchar</a>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Plant - The panthers rosters show a strong offensive and defensive combination having in their roster Sophomore 6'0" Setter <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19941682/Sophia-Dostic">Sophia Dostic</a> and 6'1" Senior OH [player_tooltip player_id='397443' first='Maggie' last='Dostic']. Both players continue to have positive stats in their respective roles continuing their productive performances during the past club season. In addition to the powerful Dostic's combination, the roster counts with 6'0 Senior OH [player_tooltip player_id='455032' first='Lara' last='Matta'] and covering the backrow Libero [player_tooltip player_id='506103' first='Ella' last='Horvick'] (5'6").</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://www.veniceindianvolleyball.com/">Venice</a> - The Indians are showing up this season to complete unfinished business from the '23 season. Seniors OH's [player_tooltip player_id='499549' first='Summer' last='Kohler'] (5'11") and <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/17785427/Kyla-Freddolino">Kyla Freddolino</a> (5'9") will take care of the offensive on the left pin. Freshman <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/22669972/brooke-gruhl">[player_tooltip player_id='601668' first='Brooke' last='Gruhl']</a> (5'9") had an impact performance during the pre-season game with 32 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teams across the state are excited about the upcoming season, I am too!
