Six 2026 Setters Make Their PD Rankings Debut

We added 20+ players to our latest rankings, including six talented <strong>setters</strong>. Setters are the quarterbacks of the volleyball team and probably puts in more reps than any position on the court. Her dedication is evident in the countless extra reps and training sessions she puts in to perfect her skills. With a natural grace and exceptional decision-making, she demonstrates a level of play that surpasses her years. Her agility and relentless hustle helps her get even the toughest balls up, while her strong back row defense makes her an invaluable asset. Overall, Sarah is the kind of player any team would be thrilled to have. After playing exceptionally well in club, Sarah should have very impressive junior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='590035' first='Aracelli' last='Hernandez'] - 2026, 5'7", Durango H.S.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Aracelli is primed for an outstanding senior season, building on a stellar junior year. She concluded last season with 670 assists, the ninth-highest total in the state, demonstrating her exceptional playmaking abilities. In addition to her impressive assist count, she added 144 digs and 76 aces, showcasing her versatility and making her one of the top scorers in Nevada. Her contributions were instrumental in Durango's 4A state championship victory, where her leadership and skill on the court were evident. There's no doubt that she will be impressive during her junior year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='549416' first='Kahlia' last='Maiava'] - 2026, 5'7", Liberty H.S.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I had the chance to watch Kahlia several times over the past few months at both club tournaments and showcases. Last season, she played for one of Nevada's top club teams, contributing significantly to them earning two bids to Nationals. On the court, she takes command, always hustling and positioning herself effectively to support her team. Whether she was setting, passing or cheering from the sidelines, Kahlia's commitment to the game was evident.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='590037' first='Lauryn' last='Jennings'] - 2026, Bonanza H.S.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lauryn had an outstanding junior season, tallying 405 assists, 78 aces, and 96 digs. She excels at placing the ball at just the right height for her hitters, even when setting off the net. Her ability to disguise sending the second ball over the net is impressive, and her hands remain neutral when setting, allowing her to mix up her sets effectively. With these skills, she is expected to be a major asset to her school team this season and could very well emerge as one of the top setters in the state once again.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='590012' first='Charlotte' last='Makanui'] - 2026, 5'5", Liberty H.S.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Charlotte had a highly productive spring and summer, playing extensively and gaining exposure through college volleyball camps. She demonstrates excellent form, skillfully varies her sets, and manages the game with precision. Her ability to jump set from almost anywhere on the court is impressive. Additionally, Charlotte's strong serving resulted in numerous aces throughout the season. I am excited to see her growth on display during her junior season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='590011' first='Yahairi' last='Sanchez'] - 2026, Mojave H.S.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Yahairi is an emerging setter with a promising future this school year. She consistently delivers excellent height on her sets, giving her hitters a variety of attacking options. Her ability to disguise sets with her neutral hands is impressive, and she also excels in back row defense. Additionally, her powerful float serve is sure to challenge opposing teams. This season is shaping up to be a breakout one for Yahairi, and she's likely to gain increasing recognition in the Nevada volleyball scene.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>What a great group of players!
