I will be heading out on the road this week to scout volleyball in three Kansas Communities,

I plan to catch volleyball matches at Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Ellinwood High Schools and scouting a practice at Great Bend High School.

Here is a group of ranked athletes I look forward to seeing compete. I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Labor Day holiday.

[player_tooltip player_id='219717' first='Kaitlyn' last='Cure'], 5'9”, DS/L, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘25

Kapaun Mt. Carmel is hosting a triangular with Wichita Southeast and Wichita North on September 3. Cure is ranked No. 115 overall in the class of 2025. She finished her junior season with 219 digs and 149 kills. She has tough serve to receive which has accounted for 162 aces over three seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='495681' first='Cora' last='Daggett'], 6'2”, MB, Wichita North, ‘25

I saw Daggett play this summer in a tournament at Butler County Community College. I was torn between two locations to scout on Tuesday, but I decided I wanted to see Daggett and her Redhawk teammates at least once this season. She is a physical front-line attacker who collected 209 kills and 26 total blocks as a junior. Prep Dig has Daggett ranked No. 68 overall among her 2025 Kansas peers.

[player_tooltip player_id='261116' first='Rylie' last='Malget'], 5'11”, MB, Wichita Southeast, ‘25

Malget is currently ranked No. 107 in the Kansas Class of 2025. This will be the first time I will see the Golden Buffalo play in person. Malget finished her junior season with 205 kills, 220 digs, and 259 serve receptions in 72 sets. This will be her third season as a varsity starter for Southeast. She has 14 kills in six sets played this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='519098' first='Kara' last='Feist'], 6'0”, MB, Great Bend, ‘25

Between matches on Tuesday and Thursday, I am going to scout the Great Bend Panthers practice before taking in the Butler CC and Barton CC match. Fiest is ranked No. 19 overall in the class of 2025. She has verbally committed to attend Fort Hays State after graduation. She collected 216 kills and 78 total blocks during her junior season. I have not seen her play for a while and am looking forward to seeing her and the rest of the Panthers.

[player_tooltip player_id='489348' first='Kyndal' last='Moore'], 6'0”, MB, Ellinwood, ‘26

Ellinwood will be a long haul for me, but seeing Ellinwood and Beloit square off will be worth the gas money. Moore is ranked No. 5 overall in the class of 2026. She can elevate and strike the ball with authority. She finished with 264 kills and 51 total blocks during her sophomore campaign. She is currently the highest-ranked uncommitted athlete in the Prep Redzone Kansas Class of 2026 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='493503' first='Kailyn' last='Follis'], 5'4”, DS/L, Beloit, ‘25 (Pictured Above)

Kailyn plays libero for the Trojans and is currenlty ranked No. 88 overall by Prep Dig. She reached the 1,000-dig threshold in Beloit's season-opening tournament in Hays. She racked up 74 digs in 11 sets played this weekend. Beloit is loaded with college-committed talent and took second in the Maroon and Gold Tournament. Beloit lost just two matches, both to tournament winner and perennial big-school power Olathe West. Follis is one of the top uncommitted liberos in the class of 2025.
