She does a solid job on defense no matter which wing defense spot she is playing she is built for the quick reaction time needed. I've only known her in the setting role but last year she was one of her high school's most prolific attackers. She's athletic and explosive and is definitely worth keeping an eye on this season. She does a great job working sidelines and gets up in the air quickly. She's also quick to take the second ball when the team is out of system. She doesn't shy away from taking the overpass or going after the split in the block. She has length to make her a good 5-1 option without losing anything on the blocking standpoint. Connell reads the ball well and has a way of making big plays when needed. She is fast to get in the air and has a very quick swing. She isn't afraid to use her hands on defense or charge the roll shot. Christ also makes a great 2nd contact when the setter makes the 1st. Her all-around game has been solid from big defensive plays to a scorching attack out of the middle back. She can swing from anywhere on the net and terminate in transition. She can swing with a really heavy arm and bury the ball down the line.
