[player_tooltip player_id='343669' first='Chloe' last='Aalfs'], Sr. OH Buchanan

The Bucks keep piling up the wins this fall and that included a hard-fought, four-set, win over Edwardsburg last week. In the victory, the senior had 16kills and 17 digs to lead the team in both categories. It was an impressive and balanced display that allowed her to push her team to victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='732295' first='Taegan' last='Anderson'], Jr. S Harper Creek

Harper Creek is definitely playing at a high level with many worthy of recognition, but Anderson had herself quite a night last week when the Beavers swept Western. She recorded 36 assists over the three sets, while Harper Creek hit .469 as a team. That's put the ball away with a lot of ease and Anderson deserves credit for it. She's up to 654 assists on the year while the team is hitting .301 for the season.

Macey Brown, Jr. OH Mattawan

The Wildcats picked up one of their biggest wins of the season last week with a four-set win at Forest Hills Northern. Brown had a bit of a coming-out party in the victory as she put down a team-high 14 kills while hitting .353. She also had a team-high 16 digs to lead the defensive effort. Brown is approaching career-highs in both stats as she's raised her level of play greatly in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='464378' first='Ava' last='Bush-Nelson'], So. MH Jenison

Jenison fended off Mona Shores in a five-set thriller that kept Jenison atop the OK Green. The sophomore was a terror at the net, racking up eight blocks while adding 14 kills. She also added in five digs. Nelson is putting the ball away at a high level this year, hitting over .300. She is also at 51 blocks for the year.

Maggie Elliott, Sr. OH Freeland

This one is a little delayed, but Elliott earned some credit for her play. The Freeland senior had a 24-kills performance against Garber to end the month and then followed it up with another 65 kills at a weekend invitational. She also put down nine in a tough matchup with Cass City last week. She's approaching 350 kills on the season and having a great season.

[player_tooltip player_id='449093' first='Skyye' last='Frailey'], Jr. OH Troy Athens

The Red Hawks took on Oxford last Tuesday in a battle of the lone unbeatens in the OAA White. Frailey came through with 17 kills and five aces to lead Athens to a four-set victory and keep the Red Hawks in the driver's seat for a league title. Frailey's taken a big step forward as a six-rotation outside in her junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='156343' first='Navea' last='Gauthier'], Sr. OH Shelby

It's important to keep track of Gauthier's continued pursuit of history. Last week, Shelby swept both Holton and Ravenna in three sets each. Gauthier had 46 kills over the six sets and hit an unbelievable .800 against Holton. With 492 kills on the season, she sits at 3,107 for her career. That ranks fourth all-time in MHSAA history, just three behind Maria Mallon. Alisha Glass' record of 3,584 sits 477 away.

[player_tooltip player_id='586773' first='Kianna' last='McKinney'], Jr. L/DS Adrian Madison

McKinney has been piling up the digs this fall, as she is among the state leaders with 426 on the season already. She's averaging over 6 per set, which is an impressive stat. Last week, McKinney recorded 28 digs in a sweep of Hudson, averaging 9.3 per set. She followed that up with 22 digs in two sets with Summerfield, an average of 11 per set.

[player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'], So. S Divine Child

The Falcons completed an unbeaten regular season in its CHSL division last week and has been doing so with a well-rounded offense thanks to the play of Ryan. Ryan is feeding the ball to a lot of different hitters and finding the hot hand. She's also been a big difference-maker at the service line. Last week alone saw her tally 15 aces for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='454358' first='Lily' last='Tripi'], So. S Eisenhower

Eisenhower had two major victories to keep it atop the MAC Red last week. That was a four-set win over Grosse Pointe South and then a sweep of L'Anse Creuse North to avenge a previous loss. The Eagles had a number of standouts, but we have to recognize Tripi, as she spread the ball out well offensively. She tallied 70 assists over the two matches and has Ike's offense really clicking. Tripi also had 18 digs, 12 kills and four blocks over the victories.
