Class 2 District 9-12 have now advanced to the semifinals and finals. Here's the preview of the semifinals for District 10 and the final preview for Districts 9, 11, and 12.

District 9

Finals: Cabool 29-6 vs. Liberty 19-9-5

Cabool and Liberty battled in the regular season meeting, with Cabool pulling out the 29-27, 21-25, 25-16, and 26-24 wins. [player_tooltip player_id='735238' first='Sophia' last='Dotson'] led Cabool with 26 kills, followed by 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='729507' first='Jayne' last='Thompson'], who had 19. Liberty was more balanced offensively as Kori Lind had 14 kills, Bryleigh Wallace with 12, and Jayli Tharp ended nicely. Both teams have lost to Winona and Mountain Grove and Cabool to Willow Springs, where Liberty beat 3-0. I'm taking Liberty for a 3-1 win to move into the state quarterfinals.

District 10

Semfinal 1: Miller 26-6-2 vs. Marionville 27-6-1

In the previous meeting, Miller had a 25-15, 25-23, 25-22 win over Marionville. In the loss to Miller, Sydney Soutee, Annaliyah Ghan, and Avery Eden, they had 29 kills. Miller is hot right now, winning 9-0-1. Marionville has lost their last 3 of 4. [player_tooltip player_id='490143' first='Camden' last='Stockton'] runs the offense for Miller and gets the ball to her big guns of [player_tooltip player_id='237008' first='Ashlynn' last='Helton'], [player_tooltip player_id='490122' first='Rachel' last='Nunez'], and Loghann Leivan for the Miller sweep.

Semifinal 2: Spokane 19-10-4 vs. New Covenant 24-7-4

During the regular season match, New Covenant won 3-1 despite 19 kills from [player_tooltip player_id='737668' first='Anna' last='Brunner']. The teams met up again in pool play of a tournament, with Spokane taking a 25-10, 25-15 win behind ten kills from [player_tooltip player_id='737668' first='Anna' last='Brunner']. The big middle blocker for Spokane will put her team on her back and carry them to a 3-1 victory.

Finals: Miller vs. Spokane

These two met up in the 2nd game of the season, with Miller taking the 19-25, 25-20, 25-13, and 25-22 behind [player_tooltip player_id='237008' first='Ashlynn' last='Helton']'s 19 kills and 23 assists from [player_tooltip player_id='490143' first='Camden' last='Stockton']. The difference in the match was Miller's ability to play tough defense, scooping up 80 digs compared to Spokane's 43. If [player_tooltip player_id='737668' first='Anna' last='Brunner'] can get 50 or more attempts, Spokane wins it, but Miller will prevent that from happening, picking Spokane apart defensively for the 3-1 win.

District 11

Finals: Diamond 22-12-2 vs. Sarcoxie 14-18

Diamond has a 25-22, 25-18, 23-25, 26-28, 15-11 win behind 18 kills from Kabrie Parmley. [player_tooltip player_id='737632' first='Lauren' last='Turner'] added 15, Aubrey Ball with 13, and Talyn Daniels with 10. Sarcoxie's Ariel Wilson and [player_tooltip player_id='735531' first='Alexis' last='Letts'] combined for 30 kills. Diamond again took a 25-23 and 25-15 win in the rematch. [player_tooltip player_id='737632' first='Lauren' last='Turner'] and Addie Beckett led the team to a district title in 3-1.

District 12

Finals: Fair Grove 36-0 vs. El Dorado Springs 31-4

The top two teams in Class 2 will battle it out for the district title. Fair Grove wants to return to the state quarterfinals and have a chance to repeat in Class 2. El Dorado Springs, in any other district, would be the top seed. Fair Grove has dominated the season, losing only five sets all season, and was only pushed to the brink of defeat by Willard winning in 5. Camdenton, Springfield Catholic, and Strafford are the only other teams to take a set off the defending state champs. ELDO has only lost to West Plains, Mountain Grove, Rogersville, and Fair Grove. ELDO pushed Fair Grove in the previous meeting, taking a 25-18, 25-18, 25-22 loss. In that win over ELDO, [player_tooltip player_id='493046' first='Shea' last='Skouby'] led the offense with 12 kills and four blocks, Greta Arnett finished with five blocks, and [player_tooltip player_id='349621' first='Brooke' last='Daniels'] had a double-double with 21 digs and 27 assists. [player_tooltip player_id='490215' first='McKinli' last='Mays'] led ELDO with 20 digs, and [player_tooltip player_id='195382' first='Neely' last='Schaaf'] was the team leader with six kills. If ELDO wants to pull off the upset, they will need more than 17 team kills. Fair Grove has hitters all over the court, and they finished the match with 37 kills. Fair Grove will once again sweep ELDO behind big plays from [player_tooltip player_id='735242' first='Sofee' last='Garrett'] and [player_tooltip player_id='737648' first='Ashton' last='Bell'] to give Fair Grove another district title, and the hopes of a repeat are still alive.
