KSHSAA has announced the quadrant assignments for class 3A regional play.

Here is a quick preview of the brackets in Regional Three. Matches are scheduled for October 21 and I have featured one prospect to watch in each quadrant.

This is the fourth and final report previewing the Class 3A Regional.

Quadrant A: Halstead (Host), Caney Valley, Chaparral, Belle Plaine

[player_tooltip player_id='483955' first='Bailey' last='Bernal'], 5'9”, MB/OH, Halstead, ‘27

A sophomore is leading Halstead in kills. Bernal is currenlty ranked No. 17 overall in the class of 2027. She has recorded 338 kills in 69 sets for the Dragons. She has been chipping in for her team in all facets of the game. Her stat line to date includes 196 digs, 252 serve receptions, and 22 blocks. Halstead is the No. 1 overall seed in Region Three. The Dragons have not faced any of the three teams in their quadrant,

Quadrant B: Neodesha (Host), Fredonia, Southeast Saline, Council Grove

[player_tooltip player_id='493370' first='Prayer' last='Roebuck'], 5'10”, RS, Neodesha, ‘25

A talent that I have had the treat to watch and evolve over the past couple of years is Blue Streak Attacker Roebuck. I have seen her play in summer team action and club ball, but have yet to catch a regular season game. She recently verbally committed to William Jewell. She leads the Blue Streaks in kills with 368 in 68 sets. She is a six-rotation talent who also sets. Roebuck has recorded 234 assists, 174 digs, 46 aces, and 25 blocks.

Quadrant C: Cheney (Host), Hesston, Wichita Collegiate, Kingman

[player_tooltip player_id='697459' first='Reese' last='Hedstrom'], 5'11”, MB/OH, Cheney, ‘25

Hedstrom is Cheney's most dangerous hitter. She leads the Cardinals in kills with 205 in 55 sets. She is all set to eclipse her junior season total of 207 kills. Cheney is the No. 3 overall seed in this region. They have wins over each of the teams in their quadrant. Hedstrom is ranked No. 78 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025 and to my knowledge is uncommitted.

Quadrant D: Trinity Academy (Host), Garden Plain, Haven, Nickerson

[player_tooltip player_id='521830' first='Elle' last='Davis'], 5'11”, OH, Trinity Academy, ‘25

The Knights have a balanced scoring attack. One of their top hitters is Davis. She is currently ranked No. 40 overall by Prep Dig and has verbally committed to Oklahoma Christian. She has recorded 120 kills in 46 sets. Trinity is the No. 4 seed overall in this region. They have one win over Nickerson but have not played the other two teams in Quadrant D.
