<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Colby Watson, Lincoln</strong></h2>

<p>Watson has been a big force at the net with her ability to get her hands on opposing attacks. She's at 57 blocks this season, already surpassing last year's total. Watson is one a nice run as of late, racking up 19 blocks over her last six matches.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Lilah Eliassen, Lake Orion</strong></h2>

<p>Lake Orion is no stranger to having a top-blocking middle. The 6-foot Eliassen has been coming through often with her length and reach. She's got 54 blocks on the season, averaging close to 1 per set. She's had 17 over her last six matches and had a season-high of seven during a conference match with West Bloomfield last month.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Marga Hauman, Dexter</strong></h2>

<p>The 6-foot Hauman is averaging over a block per set. She's at 53 through 46 sets played this season. Hauman could have more, but the stats for the team stopped mid-September. She was just coming off an 8-block performance against Skyline on Sept. 12.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='226945' first='Jayla' last='Zayti'], Marian</strong></h2>

<p>Zayti is a player that came on strong toward the end of 2023 and is looking like an impact player this fall. She's got 52 blocks on the season thus far. Zayti has recorded at least one block in 14 straight matches and is coming off a five-block performance against Lake Orion recently.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='438529' first='Mckenna' last='Boykin'], Portland</strong></h2>

<p>Boykin can get on a roll with her blocking, as she has done multiple times for the Raiders. She sits at 50 for the season. Recently, Boykin set a school record with nine blocks in a match against Lansing Catholic. She also recently had a run of five-straight matches with at least three blocks.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Ella Abraham, Rochester</strong></h2>

<p>Abraham is listed at just 5'8”, but she's making a big impact with her blocking. She's got 50 blocks on the season after having just 13 as a sophomore. Abraham has been consistent with her play, picking up a block in most matches. She just had a season-high five against West Bloomfield a week ago.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Maddie Ostrander, GR Catholic Central</strong></h2>

<p>Ostrander has improved on her timing and instincts at the net. Already a blocking force as a sophomore, Ostrander is stepping it up as a junior. She's up to 48 blocks on the season. Her season-high was an impressive seven blocks in a three-set match with Forest Hills Eastern.</p>

<p>Bedford has some size at the net and Monahan is definitely part of that. The 6'2” junior is taking on a bigger role this fall and she's recorded 45 blocks this season. She's on a run of seven straight matches with at least two blocks.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='226881' first='Reagan' last='Cederquist'], Montague</strong></h2>

<p>Cederquist has a new career-high in blocks this season with 45. She's been able to put on some of her best performances in the biggest matches. That included a six-block performance in a four-set win over Ludington last week.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Kylie Hutchins, Mt. Pleasant</strong></h2>

<p>Hutchins is coming through with some timely blocks for the Oilers. She's up to 44 blocks on the season and has recorded at least one in five straight matches. Her season high was a seven-block performance in a five-set battle with Heritage.</p>
