Senior Assist Leaders In The 2024 Season

She's now over 2,500 in her career. The Mattawan senior is coming off one of her best performances in her career last week when she recorded 49 assists while leading her team to a five-set win over Portage Central. Mattawan has been looking very strong under her leadership.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Aislin Sargent, SJ Our Lady of the Lake</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sargent had over 1,000 assists as a junior and is well on her way this fall to getting that mark again. She's sitting at 496 assists on the season right now and hitting another gear as of late. She's recorded at least 32 assists in three of her last four matches, all three-set sweeps. On the season, Sargent is averaging over 10 assists per set.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Addison Resh, Kalamazoo Central</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Resh has settled into the lead setter role and is sitting at 495 assists on the year for KZoo Central this fall. This week she put up a season-high 36 assists in a four-set match with Lakeview. Resh has been improving throughout the season and about to hit a career-high in assists after putting up 660 last fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='222957' first='Breanna' last='David'], Bay City Western</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>David has already crossed the career-high threshold with 478 assists on the season. She's taking on a primary setter role this fall, but still is a threat offensively as well with 67 kills and adding 113 digs. A few weeks ago, she put up 35 assists in a three-set sweep of Midland.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Clara Heath, Hillsdale Academy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Heath has climbed up to 477 assists this fall. She's over 2,000 in her career and having career-bests in average assists while nearing a new career-high for a season total. One of her highlights this year was an eye-popping 50-assists performance in a four-set win over Reading. She also had 44 assists in a four-set win over Climax-Scotts.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='261174' first='Kaylin' last='Schroeder'], Bedford</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schroeder has an impressive group of hitters to work with, but she is also bringing the best out of them too. Her 461 assists this fall has put her over 3,700 in her career. She is just one of 25 players to hit that mark in MHSAA history. This fall, Schroeder has hit at least 30 assists in six matches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jess Maier, Caledonia</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Maier is another setter working with an impressive crew of hitters, but she's coming through with 435 assists and averaging over 10 per set. She's on the verge of 2,000 for her career as well. Maier just put up 40 assists in a five-set clash with Jenison last week and has four matches with at least 30 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Savannah Krampits, Croswell-Lexington</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Krampits is up against some solid competition this season and has put up 424 assists. Lexington has had some bumps in the road as of late, but Krampits is coming through with solid performances. She had 31 assists in a tough, four-set match with Richmond this week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='224600' first='Cali' last='Stevons'], DeWitt</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the standouts from a solid program, Stevons has been shining for the Panthers this fall. She's got 422 assists this season, and approaching 1,500 in her prep career. She's really in a groove as of late, as she had 44 assists in a five-set win over Okemos this week. Stevons has at least 26 assists in six straight matches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='156332' first='Jaelyn' last='Sundberg'], Montague</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sundberg is climbing up career charts as well. Her 420 assists in 2024 has pushed her up to over 3,350 in her career. Sundberg is coming off one of her best performances this season when she recorded 40 assists in a four-set win over Ludington.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
