New Prospects at the 3A State Tournament!

<!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">New (to us) players that shined at the Sun Dome!</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ridgeline battled to a five set victory over the North Thurston Rams to cap a late night of volleyball in Yakima, and teams from accross the state finished with trophies and outstanding performances. The 6'1" 2027 prospect plays with emotion and fire and has a strong arm swing when she lines up a quick set in the middle. Attacking from the outside, the 6'1" pin has excellent vision and control, driving swings down the line for kills and hammering angle and season when she has an opening. Spokane made a big run, finishing with the third-place trophy after coming into the tournament seeded sixth overall. Nelson operated at her best in the postseason. The lanky left-hander delivered crucial kills and a solid block from the right-side position. Nelson found the floor in various ways, dropping in crafty tips and banging balls past the back row for kills. She was able to hammer home kills running off one foot for White River and has the athletic ability to press effectively across the net as a blocker. The sophomore libero was all grit and hustle, digging balls out for the Rams into the championship match. The 2027 prospect racked up well over 400 digs on the season and was incredibly accurate as a server for North Thurston. We had court coaches from many of the local college programs assist, we produced ten articles on the event, and top-ranked players from all four classes were there to meet and compete.
