Class 3 is when the kids who play club begin to separate themselves from those who don't. One part of the game in Class 3 is that the players are getting taller and more athletic. Here are my top seven middles in Class 3 for the 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='732879' first='Claire' last='Sallee'] – 6'0” – Osage

Claire is challenging in the middle for Osage. She can hit on either pin but is most efficient out of the middle for her team. She has racked up 288 kills this season, a 273-kill increase from the prior season. Claire was the top blocking middle in Class 3 for the 2027 class, with 92 blocks. She is a bouncy middle with a significant vertical that gets off the ground quickly. She will become a mean middle for the Indians.

[player_tooltip player_id='485608' first='Aryana' last='Spry'] – 6'1" – Savannah

Aryana burst onto the scene last year and immediately became a top middle for the Savages. The long, athletic middle is still raw, but her potential is off the charts. She can be hard to stop when she goes full speed, but her favorite shot is the tip right over the blockers. Aryana finished her second season with 242 kills and 85 blocks.

Morgan LeGrand – 5'8” – Cape Notre Dame

The Bulldogs reloaded again this year, and Morgan was a huge part of the program's success. She is a springy middle who will hit from either pin and finished her first season with 232 kills and 59 blocks. Morgan played six rotations out of the middle and could move to a pin very well next season, considering she is a solid defensive player.

[player_tooltip player_id='475348' first='Kylie' last='Barnard'] – 5'9" – St. Clair

She is an undersized middle who more than makes up for it with her vertical and court awareness. She knows where the defense is not and can exploit a defensive lapse. She has a solid vertical and loves to hit across her body. In her second season on varsity, she finished with 174 kills, which was a 109 increase from last season, and finished with 80 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='729704' first='Dorothy' last='Durrill'] – 6'3" – MICDS

Dorothy is one of the most promising young middles I watched this season. She is very long and athletic and can bounce the ball. May is still raw, but I didn't see a single middle in Class 3 with the potential she has. MICDS won their first district championship this season and was one win away from the final four. May would finish the season with 420 kills and 86 blocks.

Laney Rowe – 6'2" – Pleasant Hill

Laney will become a beast for the Chicks before everything is said and done. She has a height of 6'2" and can pound the ball when her timing is correct. Laney has a ton of potential, and her improvement from her freshman to her sophomore year was massive. With another club season, there's no telling what her future will be. She finished with 143 kills and 67 blocks in her first season as a starter.

Kaile March – 6'1” – Hallsville

Kaile is another big banger who will make significant improvements in the offseason. She has all the tangible assets she needs to become a show-stopper. She is a strong and physical player with a ton of upside to her game. She needs more time on the court, and her potential is impressive. Kaile finished the season with 145 kills and 49 blocks. The most remarkable part of her game was the increase in her hitting percentage from .164 to .327.
