Class 4 already has some big-time players for the class of 2028, and three will be playing big-time. Miah, Rilynn, and Elizabeth stand out above the rest, and Kylan and Skyla have all the potential to become those big-time players. Here are five middles in Class 4 that played significant roles.

[player_tooltip player_id='729456' first='Miah' last='Omoike'] – 6'0" – Platte County

I watched Miah play in the final four, and she had some monster slams. Miah's potential is off the charts, and he is already a big-time player. She led Class 4 middles for the 2028 class in kills with 276 and led all 2028 players for blocks with 82. She is a very athletic middle with big-time power and a huge wingspan that allows her to reach way over the net for stuff blocks. Miah will be a nasty middle for the Pirates over the next three years.

[player_tooltip player_id='623081' first='Rilynn' last='Wingenbach'] – 6'3” – Union

Union had one of the best seasons since the late 80s, and a massive part of the success was due to the emergence of Rilynn in the middle. She already has the height needed for D1, and her upside is enormous. She moves well to the pins, transitions quickly, and has a solid vertical that puts her well over most blocks. Rilynn finished the year with 243 kills and 71 total blocks. Could Rilynn follow in the footsteps of the last D1 middle from Union? The possibility is strong.

[player_tooltip player_id='524854' first='Elizabeth' last='Weaver'] – 6'3" – Pembroke Hill

Pembroke has had some dynamic players over the last few years, and I can see Elizabeth becoming a top-middle. If she can get the slide down, she will be unstoppable. She's still raw but has a lot of positive things going on for her. Elizabeth is tall, has a nice vertical, and is strong. She puts her head above the net for blocking and great penetration. She would finish this season with 261 kills and 50 blocks.

Kylan Drury – 5'9” – Festus

I saw Kylan play in the district tournament and saw the promise of another big-time player from Festus. Used mainly as a defensive presence, she would finish with 36 kills and 43 blocks. She is still raw but is athletic, and with more experience under her belt, she will develop into a solid two-way threat for the Tigers.

Skyla Moore – 5'10" – Bolivar

Bolivar played in the Rockwood Tournament, where I took note of Skyla. She's another raw player with a considerable upside to her game that will come with getting older, more experienced, and gaining confidence. Skyla has a good vertical, sees the block, and understands her role on the Liberators team this year. She finished with 27 blocks and 31 kills on the season. I expect those numbers to skyrocket next year.
