Creative setters stand out at FAST Warm-Up 16 Open division

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The highly-anticipated club volleyball season has arrived in Texas as, since the start of December, club teams all over the Lone Star State have been in action, competing in the first of the many tournaments they will be at over the next six months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last weekend, one of the most traditional and competitive events annually held in the Houston area took place, the Fast Warm-Up. Reuniting over 280 teams from Houston, San Antonio, Austin and other areas of the state, the event had 14 divisions and was held across six venues in the region.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong><a href="https://prepdig.com/2024/12/fast-warm-up-16-open-photo-gallery/">FAST Warm-Up: 16 Open Division - Photo Gallery</a></strong></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas was at the FAST Complex on Saturday, following the first day of action in the 16 Open division, which featured 14 teams. Her excellent distribution and consistent locations helped the team sustain a strong offensive rhtythm during the day. Stebbins' game was really hard to read for opposing blockers because of how well she ran her middles, her quick sets on the right and her ability to push the ball to the pin from anywhere on the court. She was among the smoothest setters in the division as the ball always come out very clean from her hands and consistently hit the right locations. SA Elite had a very strong group of hitters and Contreras knew how ot make the most of it, sharing the ball well among them and keeping everyone involved. One of the top settters in the state in her age group, she was a key piece in the team, contributing in a variety of ways. Albright's playmkaing was always consistent and efficient as she did a great job of feeding her hitters while showing great chemistry with each of them. She's one of those setters whose game may not be flashy, but is extremely efficient and delivers what her team needs. Dodd's accuracy when setting was impressive and she managed to remain precise even when working with passes well off the net. Despite that, there were still some nice positives in her game. Tornados struggled with their passing, which gave Ford the opportunity to display her exceptional mobility, quickly getting to passes well off the net and managing to recover balls. When in system, she was very precise and intelligent with her distribution.
