We do quarterly updates here at PD, and we always have new additions to the lists we create. No, it doesn't mean that suddenly these folks just started playing volleyball. For the most part, new additions are athletes that either are from an area we don't cover well, or we had no idea that they had higher aspirations in their playing careers. Here are five ladies who are from one of those categories, and what their futures might bring.

A dynamic hybrid of an athlete, Carlee can be a right side in a pinch with her whip of an arm as much as she can run an offense as a full-time setter. I like her willingness to do a little of everything to ensure victory, including leading Jasper in kills, hitting percentage and kills per set. She was also top three in many other categories, making her that well-rounded athlete Cumberland University will be getting next fall. Attack, run an offense full-time, do both in a 6-2---who cares? She's a great get for the NAIA program she's going to, and should be an immediate contributor upon arrival.

As yet another Metro kid from the Evansville area, I missed the mark on this kid BIG TIME. Dynamic and athletic, Rylee's footwork is textbook for a setter, even though she was only part of a 6-2 her senior year. The work she's put in at the club level makes her rise in these rankings nothing short of meteoric, and she'll be a solid addition to the NAIA-Top-25 Blue Raiders for the fall of '25.

As both a varsity DS and a starting libero during her time at Danville, Miss Knuckles picked up nearly 1000 digs in her career at the school west of Indianapolis. Her active feet and exceptional anticipation more than make up for her stature, and she always seems to be in the right place at the right time. I've only seen her play in the left back at the high school level, but no matter what level of team they were playing, Maklyn was, more often than not, responsible for an accurate first contact. Calvin is a solid DIII program from Michigan that hangs around the 20-win mark regularly, and Maklyn will be a great addition to this young squad.

Largely overshadowed by Purdue commit [player_tooltip player_id='236692' first='Elle' last='Schara'] during her career at Crown Point, Elisa is more than capable of being the six-rotation outside that's always needed at every four year school at the next level. Elisa more than holds her own in attacking, finding weak blockers to attack while hitting every angle in the shot chart. She also spent her junior year as that six-rotation serve receive outside, so moving back to that role would be an easy transition for her.

Speaking of overshadowed, Leah was one of the main cogs in the machine that is Tri-West volleyball. Their rise as a 3A power might not happen without Leah, as it became apparent this fall that even the superstars get injured. A fluid attacker with a heavy arm, Miss Middleton is not afraid of taking big swings when necessary, all while doing the dirty work that doesn't come up on a stat sheet. Her breakout year was this year, adding 225 kills and 300 digs to an already impressive four-year varsity career. The 60+ wins in the last two seasons were not a fluke, and Leah had a lot to do with that.
