Finally, here's one for the pin hitters.

We've covered middle blockers and ball-control gems throughout our latest Nebraska Class of 2026 rankings update discussion. That still leaves a major void to fill with pin hitters left on the board. Let's fix that today.

This group of new additions features an exciting variety of versatile athletes and high-volume scorers. We've talked about many pin hitters lately, but few boast the positional range of these new 2026 additions.

Roelle's sudden emergence was the spark that Leyton needed. After appearing in situational roles as an underclassman, she burst onto the scene this fall with over two kills per set. This high-volume scoring gave the Warriors an additional attacking threat alongside all the other seasoned veterans in their frontcourt. Roelle's junior campaign couldn't have gone much better as Leyton soared to an undefeated regular season and an appearance in the Class D2 title match. We'll see what 2025 holds as Roelle becomes Leyton's newest senior leader.

Gothenburg came out of nowhere during 2024's late-season stretch and extended its multi-year postseason streak. Anderson aided this triumph by making a meteoric rise into the Swede spotlight this fall. She appeared in 12 sets as a sophomore but became Gothenburg's go-to attacker one year later. The physical outside hitter put down over 300 kills while also churning out over two digs per set in the back row. Her strong block touches also provided crucial transition opportunities for the Swede offense. This was especially apparent when Gothenburg upset eventual champion Minden to end the regular season, and Anderson will keep building on that high-level experience.

We're venturing westward to Hyannis for our next 2026 entry. Ferguson has made a habit of racking up stats while wielding her all-around skills with the Longhorns. She led the team with 3.6 kills per set after earning plenty of reps during her underclassman years. In addition to her heavy offensive responsibilities, Ferguson also anchored the defense with nearly four digs per set from the middle-back area. This is a true do-everything player who can even become a secondary setter whenever needed.

Syracuse High School has contributed several individual stars to our rankings over the years. Vestal joins the club after accumulating over two and a half kills per set to finish second on the Rockets' tally. Vestal is a long, fluid athlete who generates plenty of momentum on her frontcourt approach. This turned the junior into a go-to attacker on a Syracuse team that favored its outside hitters. Look for Vestal to become the unquestioned leader of next year's squad.

Here's a chance to relive some tournament memories. Johnson-Brock captured everyone's attention by taking down second-seeded Oakland-Craig in the Class C2 quarterfinals. Metschke was a key contributor to that victory and racked up 12 kills in the upset. She averaged over two kills per set throughout the entire season and was willing to take assertive swings on either pin. This junior also meshed with the gritty, fast-paced style that made the Eagles so successful against more physical teams. It's a mantra to rally around in 2025.

Anderson is cementing her status as a multi-sport star for Chase County. She just logged an excellent junior season with the Longhorns and found her kills in unique ways. Chase County gave Anderson plenty of standard outside sets, but the Longhorns also allowed their 2026 star to play a hybrid middle blocker role. Opposing blockers struggled to track Anderson as she hit quicks in front of the setter in particular rotations. This range will allow Anderson to enjoy another season near the top of Chase County's statistical leaderboard.
