Watching these sophomores at the Expo this weekend showed me a bunch of talented athletes. It is hard to believe they still have two more years of high school volleyball seasons and three years of club ball before college. All of these athletes can play at the next level and are probably already on some coach's radar. Let's check them out before they move on to bigger and better things.

Halverson is a 5'8" middle hitter from Beacide High School. She has some nasty serves and I would not want to be in the way of them. She is focused during her play and intently uses her hands to punish opponents. She has a good platform, can set a hitter, has killer serves, and hits hard and with power. She looks like she could hurt someone when she hits at the net. She is good enough to be a reliable 6-rotation player on the roster.

[player_tooltip player_id='492556' first='Lauren' last='Brosky']

Brosky is a 6' middle blocker from Fleming Island High School. Brosky is beastly. She is so good in any rotation because she is a threat anywhere on the court. She can hit from the outside, the back row, or in the middle where she is the most dangerous. She is great in serve/receive, can set other hitters, and often serves an ace to her opponents. It is hard to believe that she is only a sophomore because she is so talented anywhere she plays.

Clark is a 5'9" middle hitter from Fleming Island High School. Clark is fast and looks ready to play in her drills on the court. She adjusts quickly to a bad set or a mistimed play and makes it look good. She can hit from anywhere on the court and makes it look easy. She is going to kill any overpass you send near her and has a great vertical. She is a good blocker due to her strong hands and smart reads of the play across the net. She has a lot of energy on the court and would be a welcome addition to any program.

Moe'ono'ono Aseta

Aseta is a 5'10" setter from Fleming Island High School. Aseta is a good setter with great control of her hands and movements on the court. She moves the ball around well to include all her hitters, meaning she has good parity. She has a high volleyball IQ and can hit as well as she sets. She keeps an eye on her opponent's court and makes smart plays because of her vigilance. She has a great serve, digs well, and can hit it over herself and catch the other team unprepared.

Graci Oliver

Oliver is a 5'7" setter from Fleming Island High School. Oliver has great hands and a soft touch. She has a great arch to her sets giving her hitters time to set up and plenty of time to approach. She has a high volleyball IQ and is not afraid to put it over the net herself when called for. She has speed, agility, and a powerful swing.
