The PrepDig Florida Top 250 Showcase is always an exciting event, bringing together some of the brightest young volleyball talent in the region. This year, the Class of 2026 made a strong impression with a group of athletes who demonstrated not only exceptional skill, but also the mental toughness and versatility required to thrive at the highest levels of competition. Among the standout performers, a few names shone brighter than the rest. Let's take a closer look at four of these athletes who left a lasting impact at the showcase.

At 6'6", [player_tooltip player_id='733222' first='Shelby' last='Toney'] is a force to be reckoned with on the court, but it's not just her height that sets her apart. Toney was one of the most consistent performers throughout the showcase, delivering one clutch play after another. Every time she stepped to the line, her serves were a thing of precision—low and fast, consistently finding their target and making life difficult for opposing teams.

But Toney's talents go beyond serving. She proved to be an outstanding team player with a relentless competitive spirit. Even when flushed after a diving play, she refused to slow down, immediately getting back into the game with hustle and heart. Defensively, Toney was everywhere, setting strong blocks and forcing opposing hitters to rethink their strategy. Her ability to adjust quickly, stay engaged, and maintain a high level of intensity made her a standout at the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='519280' first='Morgan' last='Ansley'] was a versatile offensive weapon throughout the showcase. Standing at 5'10", her well-rounded game allowed her to attack in a variety of ways, making her a constant threat to opposing teams. Whether executing a precise tip, a well-placed roll shot, or a hard deep corner attack, Ansley consistently found ways to exploit weak spots in the defense.

What really set Ansley apart, however, was her exceptional court awareness. She had an uncanny ability to read the defense, adjusting her attacks based on where the opposing team was weakest. Her adaptability made her one of the more dangerous attackers at the showcase, able to keep opponents guessing and off-balance. Whether on the front or back row, Ansley's poise and decision-making skills made her a constant presence in every rally.

[player_tooltip player_id='495853' first='Kaeden' last='Foxx'] was one of the most versatile players at the showcase, demonstrating exceptional court awareness and a broad skill set. Standing at 5'10”, Foxx impressed with her ability to control the flow of the game from both the outside hitter position and in serve receive. Her range on the court was remarkable, as she moved seamlessly between offensive and defensive roles, making plays all over the floor.

On the attack, Foxx had the ability to hit corner to corner, finishing plays with precision. She was always on the move, ensuring that her team had the best possible chance to succeed. Whether digging a hard-hit ball or placing the ball in the perfect spot to score, Foxx's relentless energy and tactical approach to the game were evident in every rally. Her versatility and work ethic make her a player to watch in the years to come.

At just 5'2”, [player_tooltip player_id='519276' first='Maricelys' last='Rivera'] may be on the smaller side, but her skill as a setter more than makes up for it. Throughout the showcase, Rivera proved herself to be one of the most dependable players on the court, displaying an incredible ability to handle even the most difficult situations. Whether the ball was coming from a hard-hit attack or a less-than-perfect pass, Rivera seemed to always find a way to turn the play into a positive one.

Her exceptional ball control allowed her to consistently put her teammates in the best possible position to score. Rivera's quick reflexes and smart decision-making were evident as she adjusted her sets based on the flow of the game. She was a key piece in her team's success, ensuring that the ball was always moving with purpose. With her ability to improve every pass and make split-second decisions, Rivera is one of the most promising young setters in the Class of 2026.

Conclusion

The PrepDig Florida Top 250 Showcase highlighted the immense talent within the Class of 2026, with athletes like [player_tooltip player_id='733222' first='Shelby' last='Toney'], [player_tooltip player_id='519280' first='Morgan' last='Ansley'], [player_tooltip player_id='495853' first='Kaeden' last='Foxx'], and [player_tooltip player_id='519276' first='Maricelys' last='Rivera'] showing just how bright their futures in volleyball are.
