It's the grand finale of the high school season across America. The Under Armour All-America Match!

For the past several years, this has been one of the biggest events in all of prep volleyball. 28 Seniors, two teams, ONE game! There is nothing like it.

Under Armour is bringing the best of the best from the 2025 class to one place and putting them on full display. For many of these athletes, this is their swan song to their prep careers as many will graduate early and depart for school in January. Others will go on to one final club season, but this is where you want to be.

Last year, we saw Team Fire and Ice go head to head with some of the best in the 2024 class. That group went on to have huge rookie seasons for their collegiate teams. Last year's Team Ice setter, Izzy Starck went on to win national championships with Penn State just a week ago. Other notable UA Next alums include Nayelis Cabello, Harper Murray, Torrey Stafford and Olivia Babock. All four of these other alum went on to appear in this year's NCAA Division 1 Final Four as well.

This is the game to watch if you want to see the NEXT big players in college volleyball! You do not want to miss it. Be sure to tune in on January 1st on ESPN+ at 4:30 PM EST (ESPNU will also air a rerun of the match on January 3rd at 9 PM EST. Also be sure to follow LSHOTVB on Instagram and Tik Tok as I tag along for this week's festivities!

Wihtout further ado, let's take a look at this year's Under Armour All-Americans, starting off with Team Icon!

Power on the Pins!

The pins on this team are SO much fun to watch. Each of them have played at such a high level in club and high school, with all but two winning an Open title, or placing top 5 during their prep careers. Where these pins may not see eye to eye to Unstoppable in their height, they can easily match their physicality.

Some of the biggest of attackers for this group, and automatic go-to's, are Abigail Mullen and Abby Vander Wal. The future Trojan and Longhorn have been some of the biggest names in this class for their entire careers. At 6'3 and 6'5 respectively, both Mullen and Vander Wal can play the game at such a high altitude and it makes it so much more difficult to defend. This isn't the first time that we've seen the two team up before either as they won a World Championship together last Summer with the USA U19 National Team.

Alongside those two, Suli Davis, Devyn Wiest and Bella Bullington are some more winning pins on this iconic roster. Davis, out of TAV, has become a lightning rod in this class with her incredibly fast arm and leaping abilities. She is coming off an 18 Open title at USAVs. Wiest also is a USA Open champion, winning it two years in a row with Arizona Storm in both the 16 and 17 Open divisions. As for Bullington, a highly touted player out of Sports Performance, she was instrumental in Spry's run to the AAU title match this year in 17 Open.

Rounding out the power on the pins, Alea Goolsby out of KC Power and Madison Quest out of MKE Sting join. Both Goolsby and Quest are closing out some stellar careers with the UA All-America match. Both have been huge prospects and heavily respected players in this class that are opting to stay close to home and play for their home state.

How 'Bout Them Mighty Middles?

These middles are simply too iconic for words and you'll find out soon. Between the three's physicality, athleticism and elite eye work at the net, they could be the X Factor for this team to win on Wednesday.

[player_tooltip player_id='397461' first='Erika' last='Sayer'], De'Andrea McMillian and Manaia Ogbechie are the mighty trio in the middle. After day 1 of practices, these three look like they can go off on just about anybody at any time. All such amazing blockers, but each of them give some extra spice on the offense in their own ways as well.

Sayer is an electric attacker off of one foot. Her connection with her future setter, Parks is so much fun to watch develop. Ogbechie is another one that can really do heavy damage off of one foot, but does great off of two feet in front of the setter. With her size and her leaping abilities, Ogbechie can easily tower over opposing blocks and pummel into open court. For McMillian, she jumps high and she swings fast. She is another player that is great in front of the setter in tempo situations.

The QBs at UA Next Volleyball

There isn't just volleyball going on around these parts. A part of the Under Armour All-America week, we see some of the best of the best across the country in not only volleyball, but football as well. And these are some of the best quarterbacks in volleyball that the 2025 class has to offer.

For Team Icon, they're going to be led by Logan Parks out of MAVS and Kate Rush out of Lexington United. These two are looking to be quite the duo at this week's game and I wouldn't be surprised to see Icon go the route of a 6-2 system given how dynamic each of these players are.

Parks out of Kansas is one of the top dogs in the class. Have her swing, have her set, whatever it is, she'll do it well. She has such a great feel for the game and can easily take over a match with her physicality as well. For Rush out of Kentucky, she is a player that likes to spread the offense out and run on a diverse, fast offense to push the edge of the envelope.

Dig This!

There wouldn't be no volleyball if it weren't for the players in the off-colored jersey. To combat all the fire power on their side of the net, team Unstoppable is equipped with two insane defenders in the back court.

These two are going to be quite the tandem. Aniya Warren out of 1st Alliance and Spencer Etzler out of Munciana have become quite household names in the prep scene as of late. Warren is a relentless defender who can cover so much court in little time. She was originally committed to Indiana, but most recently made the jump to play for the Wisconsin Badgers. For Etzler, she has some elite level reading abilities and seems to almost be a step or two ahead of the attacker on every play. Her brains are a big reason why she is not only an elite level defender, but also going to Stanford alongside Parks and Sayer.
