–

It's the grand finale of the high school season across America. The Under Armour All-America Match!

For the past several years, this has been one of the biggest events in all of prep volleyball. 28 Seniors, two teams, ONE game! There is nothing like it.

Under Armour is bringing the best of the best from the 2025 class to one place and putting them on full display. For many of these athletes, this is their swan song to their prep careers as many will graduate early and depart for school in January. Others will go on to one final club season, but this is where you want to be.

Last year, we saw Team Fire and Ice go head to head with some of the best in the 2024 class. That group went on to have huge rookie seasons for their collegiate teams. Last year's Team Ice setter, Izzy Starck went on to win national championships with Penn State just a week ago. Other notable UA Next alums include Nayelis Cabello, Harper Murray, Torrey Stafford and Olivia Babock. All four of these other alum went on to appear in this year's NCAA Division 1 Final Four as well.

This is the game to watch if you want to see the NEXT big players in college volleyball! You do not want to miss it. Be sure to tune in on January 1st on ESPN+ at 4:30 PM EST (ESPNU will also air a rerun of the match on January 3rd at 9 PM EST. Also be sure to follow LSHOTVB on Instagram and Tik Tok as I tag along for this week's festivities!

Wihtout further ado, let's take a look at this year's Under Armour All-Americans, starting off with Team Unstoppable!

Power on the Pins!

This roster of pins is going to be pretty unstoppable. With two of the top rated attackers in the class, Cari Spears and Teraya Sigler leading the way, these seven players are ones I wouldn't want to see coming.

Spears and Sigler have long time been two of the most physical attackers you can find. The two can play the entire game at an extremely high level and pack such a heavy punch. It's bringing two worlds together as these two will go off in a week to become rivals in the college game.

Chloe Meester, Kelly Kinney and [player_tooltip player_id='720543' first='Anna' last='Blamires'] add some more to the height chart at the pins. Meester, standing at 6'4, can bring down the hammer and with her size, she clears the block at times. Kinney and Blamires, both hanging around the 6'1-6'2 area, are high fliers that can play a real nice all-around game. Kinney has elite level ball control and court awareness. Blamires is a mighty lefty that could take a crack at the ball on both pins.

Rounding out the roster, Lameen Mambu and Asia Harvey complete this loaded cast. Both players would be what you could consider undersized. However, you may not find a duo of athletes jumping out of the gym as a high as these two. Mambu uses her leaping abilities to scan the court before striking. Harvey can utilize sheer force to bust through the toughest of defenses at high altitude.

How 'Bout Them Mighty Middles?

This trio of middles could be quite the force to be reckoned with at the net. Between the likes of Zoe Gillen-Malveaux, Taylor Harvey and Mackenzie Collins; you get a tons of athleticism.

Gillen-Malveaux, the Duke bound middle, is one of the toughest blockers in the field. She moves extremely well along the net and can be a constant option in transition. Gillen-Malveaux is coming off of a quiet fall as she is returning from a minor injury. However, post Day 1 practices, ZGM looks to have not even skipped a beat!

If we had a vertical challenge during this week, i would be putting my money on Harvey to win it all the way. Already standing at 6'4, and with such an electric hop, Harvey can be so tough to defend and to hit around. She's your prototypical Texas middle given the space she can play at.

Another Texas bound player graces this team, but this one isn't even committed to the Longhorns to play vollyball, but to run Track and Field! One of the fastest sprinters in the United States, Collins also is one of the best volleyball players too. She plays the game with a lot of speed and she can out run just about any opposing defense.

The QBs at UA Next Volleyball

There isn't just volleyball going on around these parts. A part of the Under Armour All-America week, we see some of the best of the best across the country in not only volleyball, but football as well. And these are some of the best quarterbacks in volleyball that the 2025 class has to offer.

Campbell Flynn and Izzy Mogridge are two of the biggest names in the class. Both of have led their respective prep teams to copious amounts of championships and will soon be rivals in the Big Ten. For one game, they'll be joining forces on Unstoppable.

Flynn stands at 6'2 and boasts a heavy south paw of an arm to become much more dynamic than just your regular setter. She's found herself in the midst of state, national and World championships throughout her prep career. I am sure that a Under Armour All-America Game win would be the perfect way to book end her career.

Mogridge is another setter with some nice size to her, standing at 6'1. Much to the compliment of Flynn, these two can run some real stellar tempo in their setting. Mogridge likes to run her offense fast and she can throw the ball to just about anywhere on the court at a blink of an eye.

Dig This!

There wouldn't be no volleyball if it weren't for the players in the off-colored jersey. To combat all the fire power on their side of the net, team Unstoppable is equipped with two insane defenders in the back court.

Callie Krueger and Taylor Deckert are the defensive highlights of this group. Between the intense blocking at the net and these two in the back row, it is going to be a tough to put a ball away.

Krueger has been a long time talent in this class with a great read on the ball and solid reception. Deckert has been argued to have been one of the most sought after. Often times confused for being in the 2024 class, Deckert has played up for a big chunk of her career, winning the USAV 17 Open as a 16s player for SCVC.

Coincidentally, both of these players will continue their careers in their hometowns with Krueger to Texas and Deckert to USC.
