2025 Club Team Spotlights: Iowa Impact 17-1 Elite

Despite victories being hard to come by because of the strong competition, it showed the makings of a successful squad this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team has an opportunity to connect with a setter like [player_tooltip player_id='261083' first='Maegan' last='Cheeseman'] running the show. The Ankeny Centennial junior is a well-rounded player at the position as evidenced by her team-best 625 assists and 169 digs for the Jaguars this past Fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='443091' first='Jillian' last='Hammond'] took a big step forward at Norwalk last season. The junior delivered 176 kills (.282) and a team-best 57.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='753905' first='Brooke' last='Schulte'] earned all-district honors in the Fall, when she helped lead Pella to the Class 4A state championship match. The junior piled up 273 kills (.208), 252 digs and 22.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Norwalk's [player_tooltip player_id='753978' first='Chloe' last='Koch'] is an active middle who recorded 163 kills (.265) and 71.0 blocks as a Nevada junior. [player_tooltip player_id='753982' first='Jacey' last='McFarland'] is one of Dallas Center-Grimes' best two-way players at the net. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='753974' first='Brynn' last='Roozeboom'] is a glue-type player that contributes through six rotations. Her 211 kills led Pella Christian last season. She added 34.0 blocks and 102 digs. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='490014' first='Maliya' last='Cobb'] is an interesting lefty on the opposite side. [player_tooltip player_id='552905' first='Nora' last='Bockes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='552904' first='Madison' last='Anselme'] sure up the back row for Impact, and [player_tooltip player_id='753980' first='Jacey' last='Crane'] contributes in the middle of the net. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The student-athletes on this team hail from strong prep programs.
