Attention Everyone, Eyes on ME!

That what every player in the 2028 class is saying going into the club season. Out of the Mitten state, this is once more a class chock full of serious potential and a lot of talent.

This latest rankings update has seen over 80 athletes in the midst of the 2028 watch list. We're going to be taking a look at this class position by position. Now, who's going to be the ones running the show? The setter is arguably one of the most important positions on the court. These 2028 setters could be the next big things on the national scene, let alone, the statewide conversation.

Here's seven of the top prospects know when it comes to this class and the setters!

[player_tooltip player_id='574175' first='Payton' last='Woodruff'] - Detroit Country Day

She's easily the talk of the class coming out of the fall. It's not an ordinary thing to see freshman setters lead their team to their first ever state title. For Detroit Country Day, [player_tooltip player_id='574175' first='Payton' last='Woodruff'] was actually the EXACT player they've been waiting for. She's fast on the court, precise in her location and she has the guts to make the play. In the semifinals and championships, Woodruff had DCD attacking an alarming .400 percentage. That's a similar impact to expect from her in club too.

[player_tooltip player_id='644142' first='Ava' last='Kiernan'] - South Lyon East

[player_tooltip player_id='644142' first='Ava' last='Kiernan'] could potentially be one of the most exciting prospects to watch over the next few years. At 6'1, Kiernan stands far above her counterparts and brings an equally impressive bout of athleticism to the game. A more raw talent at the position, it may take her a minute to get a hold of the game, but once she does, great things will happen for South Lyon East and MiElite.

[player_tooltip player_id='579822' first='Addison' last='Dresch'] - Dexter

Dexter is on the rise and one of the biggest reasons is [player_tooltip player_id='579822' first='Addison' last='Dresch']. There is quite the wave of talent coming into dreadknaught country, leading the pack is Dresch at one of the most important positions on the court. A tad undersized, but an incredibly dynamic setter, Dresch has a great read for the game. She is an early standout due to her work at this past summer's freshman showcase.

Kendall Sierzputowski - Traverse City West

Don't let her size fool you, Kendall Sierzputowski plays a BIG game! At the setters position, Sierzputowski runs such a smooth offense. At this summer's Freshman Showcase, she was one of the most adaptable setters in the field. She consistently was putting her hitters in high scoring positions. She also backed up her game with some incredible defense that could very easily translate into the DS/L role.

[player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'] - Lowell

I wouldn't be surprised to see this player weave in and out roles for the club season. [player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'] is listed as a primary setter. However, she's spent a majority of her fall as an outside hitter for Lowell and has the size of a lengthy libero/ds. This is all of the reason why she'll have eyes on her. She has an incredible overall game and makes impact in a variety of positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='644166' first='Ella' last='Foltz'] - Flushing

There is a lot of potential here with [player_tooltip player_id='644166' first='Ella' last='Foltz']. Spending the fall with one of the top setting prospects in Michigan, [player_tooltip player_id='288965' first='Lili' last='Smith'] (IPFW), Foltz got to really experience what it takes to be an elite level setter. In Flushing's 6-2 system, Foltz fit right into the mold and allowed Smith to be a leading attacker as well.
