Last fall's junior class now included 280 ranked athletes and featured 65 debuting athletes.

Athletes, coaches, and parents can use this link to explain the rankings process. https://prepdig.com/how-we-rank/

I encourage ranked and unranked athletes to claim or create FREE profiles which can be accomplished by using the following link. https://prepdig.com/prospect-index/

Please keep in mind our rankings are subjective, especially in the younger classes. Seeing players in person, being able to find stats, and whether a player has claimed their profile all impact how I rank athletes. The junior class is also one where college recruitment first becomes a major factor in the rankings.

Here is the second of multiple reports featuring the Kansas Class of 2026 this week. It features five of the top hitters joining the rankings for the first time.

[player_tooltip player_id='731076' first='Hayden' last='Meats'], 5'10”, OH, Gardner-Edgerton, ‘26

Meats debuts in the rankings in the No. 33 position. She was one of the top attackers missing from the rankings. She finished with 445 kills in 103 sets for the Trailblazers. She was solid on the back row with 460 serve receptions and just 28 receiving errors. She also recorded 296 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='731462' first='Kenna' last='Woods'], 5'11”, MB/OH, Inman, '26

Inman has two athletes debuting in the Class of 2026 rankings. The first is Woods who is debuting in the No. 34 slot. Woods is a multi-sport talent with natural athletic ability. She recorded 228 kills in 100 sets played for Inman. She chips in everywhere on the court collecting 355 digs and 64 blocks as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='731072' first='Kynlee' last='Hamel'], 5'10”, OH/MB, Concordia, '26

Concordia's Hamel joins the rankings at No. 35 overall. Hamel finished her junior season with 322 kills in 87 sets played for the Panthers. She can play six rotations and added 304 digs to her 2024 stat line. She played on a Concordia team with a deep and balanced attack or she could have finished with more kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='731767' first='Morgan' last='Froese'], 5'11”, MB, Inman, ‘26

Froese joins teammate Woods in the rankings at No. 36 overall. Froese was among the state leaders in blocks with 217. She also registered 138 kills on a Teuton squad that finished third in the Class 2A State Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='714718' first='Leilah' last='Perry'], 6'0”, MB/OH, Mill Valley, ‘26

Perry parlayed an impressive appearance in the Class 6A State Tournament into a debut at No. 37 overall. I saw Perry play early in the season for the Jaguars and at the state tournament in Salina. She evolved leaps and bounds throughout the season. She finished with 89 kills and 41 total blocks in 60 sets played at the varsity level.
