Not Your Average 2027

Let's take a look at some of the players who aren't just "average". These players are coming into their own in both school and club. They are taking significant steps to be a go-to type player for their team.    If you have not gotten to see Avery play, you need to find a way ASAP. She is an extremely well rounded player. She is tough mentally and has a passion to compete for every point. She has the capabilities to run a 5-1 or 6-2 with her size, athleticism and feel for the game. She plays well up front both as a hitter and a setter. She can joust or attack well as a setter or bring the hammer as a true hitter on the pin. Her versatility and ability to play at a high level puts her 12th overall in our rankings.      Her ability to run a multitude of different sets across the entire net makes her a solid hitting option in any offense. This is a big reason she is a top 5 MB in her class. Her quickness from pin to pin allows her to close a ton of blocks, which makes her passers very happy. She is not a player that solely relies on power to score, she will happily throw in an off speed shot to get the kill when needed. Her development over the next year will be intriguing. She can turn into quite a force for BTW.     I was able to watch Zoe first hand this past weekend at rankings. One of the first things that stood out was how vocal she was throughout the match, both on the court and off. She has some outstanding leadership qualities. She also has some great hustle to track down some arid passes and still give her team a chance at scoring. Her flat and well placed serve was key in some of the scoring runs that Rise 16-1 went on. She is part of a stacked class of setters but has the ability to move up in the next round of rankings.     You don't need to watch her play before she already starts turning heads. Her vertical is out of this world. Combine that with the power she has in her swing and she can bounce balls on the 10ft line often. When she gains control of all of this power...she will be a force to be reckoned with. She also has a really powerful serve that can be hard to handle. Charge 16UA is one of the best club teams and Claremore is a top 5A Team, she will be pushed to her limit all year around.     Blythe really impressed me at a local tournament at Titan. She dug multiple balls in a row to keep the rally going, just long enough for her team to get the kill. Her grit and determination was evident. The ability to read and move efficiently in serve receive allows her to take lots of land back there. I could see her being a top player for Holland Hall this upcoming season!
