Class of 2027 Rankings Update: Five Setters to Watch

She reads the floor well and soundly directs her teammates to the right spots. Rice brings versatility to the team as a sound player in all five aspects of the game. Rice is also a vocal leader. Miller sets up the offense on one play then takes big swings on the next one. She can angle balls off blockers. Her ball control and serving are big pluses for the Patriots. She is meshing well with the 16 Select hitters putting them in position to succeed. She has good chemistry with the hitters consistently putting balls on target. Hammond also does a good job starting things off with smooth first passes and is a tough server. Porter consistently puts the hitters in position to put balls down. She is also a sound digger. Porter lines her arms up with balls and hard-hit ones bounce off her arms like ping pong balls successfully to the other setter. Porter does a good job staying on her feet to make good passes.
