Wilson flew under the radar because the Colonels struggled this season. However, Wilson continued to bust her tail on a daily basis trying to make believers out of her teammates. Wilson does a great job keeping her eyes on the ball and learning opposing hitter tendencies. She constantly shuffles her feet and goes every direction to track down balls. Wilson sends free balls across with a purpose. Wilson had 277 digs for the Colonels this past season.

Laycock put up sound numbers helping lead the Mustangs to a 10th District title. Laycock veers different directions to make two to three-point passes. She sticks out her arms and squares up balls well. Laycock also does a fine job with net coverage. Laycoack had 463 digs for the Mustangs this past fall.

Defenders often think they have an opening in the floor. Then out of the blue, Dixon dives in and makes a pancake dig to keep the play alive. Dixon sometimes surprised defenders digging up balls that clipped the top of the net then skipped over to the other side of the floor. Dixon added in a remarkable jump serve to throw off defenses. Dixon had 346 digs and 67 aces to help the Commodores go back to the 14th Region Tournament for the second straight year.

Howell is a multi-sport athlete for the Cats. She set a big tone on the court making sound pass after sound pass. Howell did a good job reacting to balls all season. Howell finished the season with 499 digs helping the Cats go back to the 15th Region Tournament.

Wheatley is on a team full of playmakers so she did not have to make all the big saves for the Chargers. Wheatley patrols the back row with authority. She slides both directions to track down balls. She'll only improve before heading to Spalding playing for an elite club team. Wheatley led the Chargers with 203 digs to go with 47 aces last year, helping Bullitt East go 20-8 and make it back to the 6th Region Tournament.
