Day one of pool play kicked off with the 15 and 16s division competing in the AM wave. As I walked around the venue, I knew it was going to be a good scouting day. There were many teams and players that I have not had the fortune of seeing play before today. I spent nearly 10 hours at the facility and saw some huge gems that definitely need a shout out for their efforts on the court on day 1.

Remember to follow me on Instagram @Prepdigamy and Facebook @PrepDig Amy for up to date event coverage, stories, and more.

Schoenike was a blocking force for her infinity team. She has a big vertical and explosive approach. Combine that with her quick, heavy swing and you have a player that is hard to stop. Teams often tried to serve to her in order to prevent her from attacking. However, Ansell already knows how to receive and quickly transition out to be a terminating option. Ansell is definitely one to keep tabs on.

Cho is a 2028 setter with a ton of potential. She is quick, has good footwork, and can track down almost everything. Her out of system setting was exceptional for her age group. I was also impressed with her court vision and setting choices. Running a 5-1 offense, Cho did a good job getting all of her hitters involved. She also read the defense well and threw down some impressive setter dumps that the opponents often did not see coming.

Marsman is a lethal attacker with an array of shots.
