The Class of 2027 rankings were just updated this week.

While there is a lot to breakdown from positions, newcomers and stock risers, it's also interesting to take a look at which prep programs are most represented on the list.

Here's the five that put the most names on these rankings.

Eisenhower

Utica Eisenhower has made a big impact with its Class of 2027 players. A total of five are in the group, including many in the top half of the rankings. Hitting has been a big emphasis behind setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='454358' first='Lily' last='Tripi'] (10), outside [player_tooltip player_id='454359' first='Elise' last='Biermann'] (20), middle/right side [player_tooltip player_id='442999' first='Olivia' last='Berishaj'] (35), and outside [player_tooltip player_id='523831' first='Anna' last='Bellomo'] (52). The team also has a top defender in [player_tooltip player_id='454360' first='Rease' last='Buza'] (55). With this group, Eisenhower made a run to the state quarterfinals last year and should be among the best in the state again for the next two seasons.

Grand Rapids Christian

GRC had to retool its roster after a dominant run for years and it was aided by a strong freshmen class two years ago. Its Class of 2027 group features a total of six players. Leading the way are two in the top 15 in outside [player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke'] (5) and setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='490372' first='Piper' last='Cebulski'] (12). The Eagles have other promising talent that could climb the rankings in the years ahead in setters [player_tooltip player_id='742026' first='Rylee' last='Anderson'] (132) and [player_tooltip player_id='523841' first='Taylor' last='Frost'] (133), as well as defender [player_tooltip player_id='490378' first='Zoey' last='Klunder'] (WL) and middle [player_tooltip player_id='523862' first='Sylvia' last='Setsma'] (WL). GRC has already seen two of these players reach an elite level, and there could be more to come.

Marian

Like we saw in 2026, Marian has stocked up on the 2027 talent as well. A whopping nine from the Class of 2027 are listed from the Marian program, by far the most of any school. It's an impressive crop led by hitters [player_tooltip player_id='454352' first='Calli' last='LeFevre'] (13) and [player_tooltip player_id='436889' first='Sophia' last='Smith'] (16), who have both had a major impact on the varsity squad already and look to be among the best in the state. Fellow hitters [player_tooltip player_id='523873' first='Cecilia' last='Murray'] (47), Samanthan Monroe (56), [player_tooltip player_id='442991' first='Leah' last='Bongiovanni'] (58) and [player_tooltip player_id='442975' first='Cristiana' last='Giglio'] (123) are also in the group, along with defenders [player_tooltip player_id='442993' first='Madison' last='Monroe'] (57) and [player_tooltip player_id='442984' first='Joelle' last='Mio'] (91), as well as setter [player_tooltip player_id='454370' first='Madeline' last='Ambroziak'] (WL). The Mustangs have put a lot of stock in this class and they have shown they can handle the challenge.

Orchard Lake St. Mary's

The young Eaglets program has had to build from the ground up over the last handful of years, which has required some strong young classes. The Class of 2027 definitely has been a foundation piece for what is ahead for the program. Leading the way is one of the top hitters in the class in [player_tooltip player_id='470031' first='Avery' last='Kapeller'] (9), as well as a rising defender in [player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'] (82). The group also has setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='486863' first='Lindsey' last='Schwegman'] (96), right side [player_tooltip player_id='487784' first='Jillian' last='Jackson'] (126), setter [player_tooltip player_id='710832' first='Anneliese' last='Weber'] (149) and utility player [player_tooltip player_id='490043' first='Katelynn' last='Dabish'] (WL). The Eagles look like they will remain in the mix for top teams over the next few years.

Romeo

The Bulldogs are looking to get back in the title mix for D1 and the Class of 2027 could help them get there. Hitters [player_tooltip player_id='442978' first='Eleanor' last='Williams'] (31) and [player_tooltip player_id='490033' first='Christina' last='Rosenow'] (32) are dynamic players that can play multiple positions and compete with the best. The team also has three young defenders in [player_tooltip player_id='442988' first='Kaylah' last='Liedke'] (127), [player_tooltip player_id='442990' first='Kylie' last='Freeman'] (128) and [player_tooltip player_id='442986' first='Karly' last='Harrison'] (WL) to remain solid around the floor. This class may be able to take Romeo back to heights it reached a decade ago.

Saline

A program that has pushed itself against the best in the state, Saline is continuing to produce strong talent. The Class of 2027 has five listed from the program, with balance around the floor. The group includes outside [player_tooltip player_id='454364' first='Maiya' last='Heinemann'] (59), setter [player_tooltip player_id='454362' first='Karlie' last='Smith'] (76), outside [player_tooltip player_id='454363' first='Akylah' last='Marshall'] (84), middle [player_tooltip player_id='454365' first='Meaghan' last='Sullivan'] (102) and middle [player_tooltip player_id='454361' first='Sophie' last='Bohl'] (WL). It's a hungry group of talent that wants to prove itself against the top players on the list and show that Saline is still a title contender.
