The end is near for qualifier season, and more teams hit the court last weekend in numerous locations looking to earn or upgrade bids. I was in Kansas City for the second weekend of the Asics Show Me Qualifier. Only two age groups I cover were in action. Before I get to them...I don't talk about 14s often, but Dynasty 14 Black, I'll be talking about quite a few of those players this fall when our 2029 Watch List debuts. Back in the 15s, in the American Division, no Missouri teams finished at the top for the one bid in play. 573 Missouri Jrs 15-1 and St. Joe Storm 15-1 both finished tied in the third position after a good weekend of volleyball.

In 15 Liberty, Invasion 15 Black walked away as the tournament champion, upgrading their American bid won earlier in the season. They went 9-1 over the weekend. [player_tooltip player_id='778345' first='Mia' last='Roberts'] had a good weekend from the setter position with her setting and timely dumps. The middles were strong in the blocking department, led by [player_tooltip player_id='778367' first='Gabrielle' last='White-Lewis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='729586' first='Mylah' last='Kruger'].

Players Who Caught My Eye

I wasn't able to see as many players as normal due to other responsibilities I was tasked with, but I got a few notes jotted down.

[player_tooltip player_id='778369' first='Nola' last='Schanzmeyer'] - OH - Alpha Omega 15 National

I was impressed with Schanzmeyer's ability to score on the pin for Alpha Omega. In the match I watched, she was stable on the outside and showed she could mix up her shots. She helped lead her team to a 5th-place finish in the American Division.

[player_tooltip player_id='778372' first='Chloe' last='Conoyer'] - L - [program_tooltip program_id='428760' first='Core' last='STL'] 15 Carolina

I like confident liberos, and you get that with Conoyer on the court. She is calm and steady in the back row. She does a good job of reading attackers and her blockers for defensive placement.

[player_tooltip player_id='778375' first='Kerri' last='Crutcher'] - OH - Mizuno Club North 15 Erin

Crutcher took the court as a six-rotation outside and showed potential in the role. She passed the ball at a decent clip and was counted on heavily to score points from both the front and back row.

Syria Robinson - MB - Mizuno Club North 15 Erin

While undersized for a typical middle, Robinson displays tremendous athleticism that allows her to find success in the front row. She can use her vision to find open space all over the court with both tips and swings.
