It was a flawless weekend at Motor City Madness for Michigan Elite 17 Mizuno.

The 17U squad was able to go a perfect 5-0 in matches and 10-0 in sets to take home the 18 Open/Premier Division.

It was a well-balanced team effort to get the championship, but here are some of the players that really stood out on the film.

[player_tooltip player_id='226904' first='Emma' last='Keeping'], S

Keeping was doing a little bit of everything for Michigan Elite last weekend. She was in complete control of the offense and spreading the ball out well with athletic sets and great location. She was particularly in tune with her middles. Defensively, Keeping was a menace with her blocking, racking up key stuffs in each match. She also had her serve on point.

[player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'], MB

Agoot was unstoppable for many stretches of the weekend. Her ability to climb the ladder and get off the floor makes her difficult to deal with from a defensive standpoint. Agoot is able to attack from a vantage point that blockers can't stop, plus she is able to do so with a lot of power as well. Agoot's blocking is also a major factor in each match.

[player_tooltip player_id='487356' first='Lucy' last='Monahan'], MB

Michigan Elite has a major 1-2 punch in the middle with Agoot and Monahan and Keeping knows how to keep both of them active. Monahan showed great tempo and footwork to deliver some highlight-reel kills on the weekend. She stays alert and ready, and with her 6'2” frame, she can also play above the blockers.

[player_tooltip player_id='226888' first='Aubree' last='Deshetsky'], OH

There's nothing too surprising with the play of Deshetsky at this point. She's as well-rounded an outside as you can ask for and brings a very business-like attitude to the court. Whether it's a timely dig or a timely kill, she comes through. Deshetsky always seems to be in the right position as well. She's as reliable a player as they get.

[player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'], OH

Dettling was also very consistent with her finishing on the pins this weekend. She put down some great attacks and was holding her own defensively as well. Dettling also was doing a nice job of providing some momentum-swinging aces in most of the matches. Her serves were aggressive and kept her opponents off-balanced.

[player_tooltip player_id='226897' first='Charlotte' last='Gramzow'], L

Michigan Elite wouldn't have been able to be so explosive and dynamic on offense without the steady play of its defense. Gramzow did a good job of holding down the fort in the back row and communicating with her teammates to keep the ball off the floor. Gramzow is long and agile, able to cover a lot of space in quick fashion.
