We still have our eyes on Kansas City.

The first weekend of the Show Me Qualifier gave us plenty of storylines, and we still have angles to cover over the next several days. However, we've also had our eye on "Part 2" this weekend, as this wave features the 15 Liberty and 15 American divisions. The amount of Great Plains Region representation heading into Easter Sunday cannot be ignored.

How about some holiday bids? These Nebraska 15s teams are still in the (egg) hunt on the Show Me #2's final day.

Let's welcome a Great Plains duo that just competed in the same Round 2 pool

South Central NE 15 Black has been rolling. This crew impressed us in last year's postseason, and South Central NE is eager to lock up another GJNC trip through the Show Me Qualifier. 15 Black steamrolled through the opening round but faced another stout group of squads in Saturday's slate. The evening began with South Central winning a regional showdown with Premier Nebraska 15 Black. 15 Black extended its winning streak to five before falling to Tulsa Power in the Round 2 finale, finishing with a 2-1 Saturday record. More on that in a moment.

Let's get back to that Premier Nebraska 15 Red group. Despite falling to South Central in the second-round opener, 15 Red rallied with two clutch sweeps over Tulsa Power and Madtown. This group looked poised for a bracket trip.

However, we had a three-way tie between South Central NE, Premier Nebraska, and Tulsa Power--all with identical set counts, too. The next ranking criterion is point percentage, and this brings up a tiebreaker scenario we've discussed before: a team can advance to Gold based on point percentage, but this criterion cannot be used to eliminate a team from contention.

South Central NE had the best point percentage of the trio, so 15 Black was declared the winner of the pool and could look ahead to Sunday's bracket. Meanwhile, Premier Nebraska and Tulsa Power were paired up for a 15-point tiebreaker set to stay in bid contention. And, just like the pool contest, 15 Red triumphed over Tulsa Power to claim the other bracket spot with a second-place finish.

15 American

This trio is stacked.

Will anyone stop Club Legacy 15 Alpha? This team started at the top of 15 American's initial seeding hierarchy, and 15 Alpha has more than backed up its frontrunner status. These aren't just wins. They're dominant wins.

15 Alpha is 6-0 through two rounds of Show Me competition and has not dropped a set all weekend. Moreover, Club Legacy has allowed an opponent to reach 20 points in a set only once during that span. This group has the second-best point percentage in the division's quarterfinals.

Our next two Gold entrants have posted 5-1 marks through pool play and are gaining momentum before the single-elimination phase.

Perhaps [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Blue will add to the cascade of qualifier triumphs from the VCN camp. The Lincoln-area group lands in Club Legacy's bracket quadrant after starting Show Me on a five-match winning streak. A familiar combination of quality ball control and balanced offense has led the way--a staple of VCN volleyball.

Finally, we find Nebraska Elite 15 Heat in the Round of 32. Like VCN, 15 Heat kicked off its Kansas City stay with a 5-0 record to cement its spot in the final bracket. Nebraska Elite doesn't get the luxury of a first-round bye, but the contest against Mizuno M1 should be a thrilling square-up with both squads boasting a 5-1 ledger.

Of course, we end with the ever-present reality of 15 American: only one bid is available in this division. It's a championship-or-bust mentality for any team seeking a bid, and this Great Plains trio will be eager for the trek.

We still have our eyes on Kansas City.
