Let's take a look at 3 floor generals that need to not be underestimated. They can all run their teams offense, give hitters a chance to score and be great leaders. We will look at what class they are in, what they bring to the table and the things that make them fly a little under the radar.

Summer leagues start in less than two weeks! Look for us out and about at your local summer league gym covering teams and individual players. We also have our StockUp Showcase just over the horizon as well. It would be a great time to sign up for the showcase AND for a year long subscription. This time of the year is perfect, 1 full year would get you an entire school season AND club season.

Bree is a class of 2026 setter for OKC Storm, a homeschool team based in OKC. Bree is an excellent player to build a team around. She would make any school and college program better. Of the three players listed she has the largest range and she locates the most consistent balls. Likely due to the numerous reps she has put in over the past few years. She is also an exceptional digger. She does a particularly great job when digging a middle attack. She gets low, holds her ground and reads the hitter well. She is a little undersized to be an effective blocker and therefore be in a 5-1 system, particularly at the college level. Which colleges have scooted heavily to 5-1 systems.

Ally is a 2026 setter for Union. Ally had a breakout club season last year, went on to start for Union High School and had a solid school season. She has since had another successful club season. I'm looking for her to take another step this school season and finish her senior year out strong. Of the three listed, she may have the toughest serve. She does such a great job of contacting the ball that her float truly does FLOAT when it's coming. She also has a really good contact with her hands while setting. Very effortless when she delivers the ball to a hitter. With her older sister being a successful player and her dad being a successful coach, she has lots of quality support around her to keep the growth going! Ally could be a little more consistent with her up tempo sets and more aggressive in defense but those are things that are easily drilled in the gym.

Georgia is a 2027 setter for Norman. Georgia was a huge part of that Tiger offense this past school season. She is surrounded by a ton of hitting talent but she is definitely key in their success. She might be the shortest of the three players listed but she is a great 6-2 type player. She is able to spread the ball around and set against the flow to fool blockers. She has great hustle, grit and is excellent at talking mid rally. She also is a solid server for her team.

I look forward to watching all three setters develop and dominate this school season. All three school teams they play for have a chance to be even better this year and make some waves.
