Chi-Town Showcases 7 Stellar Setters

These players do a lot of the grunt work and typically take the blame when something doesn't go right. Whatever you do, don't understimate this setter. I saw her playing six rotations and taking really smart swings when she was in the front row. She had to make an adjustment in defense and I love how she responded to it by making a great read on the very next ball. I saw her take a monster approach and destroy a ball with blockers in front of her that were significantly taller. She's a crazy talented athlete and she simply flies in the air. Miller has the technique and the natural reading ability. As a setter she can move the ball around effortlessly and gets all of her attackers involved. She moves across the floor quickly and gracefully and when she gets her hands on the ball she can place it anywhere. Just when I think she can't get any better she takes a swing on the ball and she's a wicked attacker as well! Sperl is running a fast pace ball against the flow that locks up the opposing blockers. She is also using every inch of the net to run her offense making it hard to predict what she will run next. Her coverage of her hitters is also phenomenal and it speaks to her attackers in a way. She does a solid job and makes sure her hitters get a lot of hittable balls.
