Lexington United 17 National, White Squad Profiles

Two played on the George Rogers Clark junior varsity in sophomores Bella Marie Shepherd and Caramia Coffey. The other four are Montgomery County sophomore Kaelyn George, Sayre sophomore Sarah Bays, Harrison County sophomore Kaitlyn Montgomery and Audrina Hart. The setter is Great Crossing sophomore Audrey Mullannix.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nicholas County sophomore Abby McNabb at outside hitter saw limited action on varsity this past fall. Kendall Hamilton plays right side/opposite hitter along with Scott County junior Cora Greenwell. Sayre junior Ella Anderkin gives the team size at six feet even.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emma Iler is the team's head coach. The next event is the Players Championship May 31 and June 1 in Louisville.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>White</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This team is not real deep with just seven players. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fleming County junior Layla Feldhaus made a significant impact for the Panthers at outside hitter this past fall. Junior Natalie Anderson is the other outside hitter with junior Mahala Turpin playing right side/opposite hitter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The two middle hitters are Anderson County junior Chloe Watson along with Maggie Holland. Feldhaus does a good job aiming balls to open parts of the floor jumping and an on the ground. She hits balls to the back row and tips them to different parts of the court. A quicker arm swing could make a difference for Feldhaus her senior year. Feldhaus is also a sound server for Fleming County.
