Lone Star Regionals 15 Bid Division Dynamic Middles

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Club teams from all over Texas were in Houston this past weekend, competing in one of the largest and most anticipated tournaments of the season, the Lone Star Regionals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over 650 teams got on the court between Saturday and Sunday at the George R Brown Convention Center, with clubs competing in 20 divisions, featuring players from the 11s to the 17s age groups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas followed closely the Gold Bracket matches of the 15 Bid Division, and we're now highlighting some of the most impressive players we got to watch. A tall and long player, she was an important piece in their offense, getting set almost every time the team was in system. Schindewolf was very efficient offensively, making contact with the ball at a high point and swinging it towards the end line - she was also very intelligent with the location of her tips. A player with great length, the middle was an interesting offensive weapon for her team. Vega was very difficult to stop because she used her excellent footwork to make a very quick approach and hit the ball right off the hands of her setter, allowing opposing blockers little to no reaction time. The athletic middle played with great intensity at the net and appeared very well on both sides of the ball, making a major impact for her team. Woods was very productive offensively, displaying an interesting ability to hit different sets, getting off the floor very well, and showing tremendous power to swing the ball. The middle was a force for her team at the net, making strong contributions with her blocking. A six-footer, Chorazy used her length extremely well to shut opponents down and was very good at reacting to unpredictable situations at the net.
