–

It's been nearly 2 months to the date since we've had a commitment catch-up. And boy have the commitments been coming in like wild fire.

We've seen stars from the 25 and 26 class find their place in the last 2 months. It looks to be a preview to what should be an electrifying summer with a stud 2027 class' June 15th date on the horizon. As the club season comes to a close, i wouldn't be shocked to see even more news come out from the 26 group as well.

This next installment has an even mix of everything. Some high level recruits to the the JUCO scene, a lot of exciting talent tha has announced their next landing zone. Let's take a look.

[player_tooltip player_id='481379' first='Rylie' last='Barriger'] to Southern Wesleyan

5'8 S/L - Lowell/FaR Out

One of the more promising defensive products out of the West side, [player_tooltip player_id='481379' first='Rylie' last='Barriger'] has the potential to make some serious impact at the next level. Throughout her career, Barriger has been one of the stronger utility players in her class. With the ability to jump in and run a highly efficient offense, she also has the ability to easily jump into the libero jersey and play big defense.

A long awaited announcement from this type of player, Barriger announced that she'll be heading to the south and joining Southern Wesleyan. This is a program that has been steadily gaining momentum for the last few seasons. With a player like Barriger and with her approach to the game and ability to wear many hats, this could be the one they need to make another big jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='487356' first='Lucy' last='Monahan'] to Toledo

6'1 MB - Bedford/Michigan Elite

Toledo is making one big argument to be one of the next powerhouses of the Mid-Majors and this is another reason why. [player_tooltip player_id='487356' first='Lucy' last='Monahan'] has really come into her own within these last several months. She is coming off of a explosive high school season that saw her lead Bedford in kills and blocks. This club season, she has also seen her game jump leaps and bounds playing at a high open level.

Monahan comes in a quite line of recent commitments for new head coach Brian Wright that'll sure cement a great start to this new era. Monahan will join another Michigan Elite superstar and recent Toledo commit, [player_tooltip player_id='156292' first='Jessica' last='Costlow']. Between these two and a handful of other high tier players committed in the 2025 and 2026 class, keep an eye out for the Rockets these next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='226906' first='Reagan' last='Lesley'] to Michigan Tech

5'10 OH/OPP - Chippewa Valley/Michigan Elite

The commitments out of this 17 Mizuno team just keep coming. Fresh off of the announcement of Monahan, teammate [player_tooltip player_id='226906' first='Reagan' last='Lesley'] announced that she'll be heading North of the bridge. Lesley will be heading to Michigan Tech, one of the strongest Division II programs in the state, and well-revered in the country.

Lesley, herself, has found some well welcomed momentum coming into this commitment. She's playing some of her best ball in recent memory and becoming a key cog to the machine of her club team. Lesley, at 5'10, has a big jump and a lot of tools in her box given her experience playing just about anywhere on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='595976' first='Lexi' last='Champagne'] to Delta College

5'7 OH/DS - Cass City/Thumb Fusion

With the recent eligibility rule change at the JUCO to NCAA level, there have been some rather exciting players looking to continue their game. Insert [player_tooltip player_id='595976' first='Lexi' last='Champagne'] out of Cass City. This player is a part of the historic class for the Hawks that saw a three consecutive Final Four run in Division 3. Outside of this, Champagne is a three sport standout for the Hawks in basketball and softball.

Looking to continue her athletic career and focus solely on the volleyball courts, Champagne could really blossom into an exciting player. Undersized at 5'7, Champagne's athleticism has really drove her to find success as a hitter in the Division 3 space. However, she has really developed nicely in her back court play as well. Something that could continue to grow and see her continue on into the further stages of her collegiate career.

[player_tooltip player_id='250066' first='Isabelle' last='Phillips'] to Schoolcraft College

5'8 S - Cass City/Thumb Fusion

Another Cass City graduate is looking to go the JUCO route and there are no complaints here. [player_tooltip player_id='250066' first='Isabelle' last='Phillips'] was the one who had the luxury of running the offense for this historic team over the last four years. This is a player that is often known for her calm demeanor and big hitters. Whereas Champagne will look to remain relatively close to home, Phillips will venture down to metro-Detroit to compete for Schoolcraft College this coming fall.

Phillips will join an exciting JUCO program that is currently headed by Jaison George, the club Head Coach of former HS teammate [player_tooltip player_id='156307' first='Shelby' last='Ignash']. George is well known for his strides in player development and individual to team success in the club side. Somebody like Phillips, who has a rather raw athletic ability could really blossom under the mentorship of George at the next level.
