Rankings Update: Five 2028 Kansas Setters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Kansas updated the Class of 2028 rankings last Tuesday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Following the update, the Top 20 athletes were featured in scouting reports.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This report focuses on a group of setters ranked outside the Top 50.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Each of these athletes has public stats, which allows me to compare them to other setters, but they are setters that I have not seen play in person, who don't have HUDL accounts, or who have not claimed their Prep Dig Profiles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Athletes are encouraged to claim or create player profiles. Profiles provide athletes the ability to add game film and share contact information for the college coaches who subscribe to our site. Ottawa is a team I usually catch in summer league action, but have not seen play for a hot minute. Evans finished her freshman season with 265 assists in 89 sets played. She also added 126 kills to the Cyclones' attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='644737' first='AJ' last='Reiff'], </strong>5'6”, S, Hesston, '28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hesston's Reiff is ranked No. 71 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She dished out 584 assists to Swather hitters in 88 sets played as a freshman. She also recorded 172 digs, 21 blocks, and 35 aces.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='693940' first='Kodi' last='Trimble'] </strong>, 5'3”, S, Oswego, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Trimble is ranked No. 84 overall by Prep Dig. During her freshman season, she collected 451 assists in 87 sets. I have yet to watch Trimble compete at the prep or club level. She must have a nasty serve, as she recorded 85 aces last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='665590' first='Jeryn' last='Stewart'],</strong> 5'5”, S, Greeley County, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Greeley County's Stewart is ranked No. 112 overall and is probably under-ranked. She was among the leaders in assists by a freshman in Kansas with 973 in 95 sets played. She finished her freshman season with 204 assists in 80 sets played. She can also play outside hitter and registered 110 kills for the Huskies last fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
