Texas Right Sides to Be Aware at the Lone Star Regionals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The George R Brown Convention Center, in Houston, will be rocking this weekend as it hosts the second week of one of the largest tournaments of the entire club volleyball season in Texas, the Lone Star Regionals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over 650 teams will be competing this week in one of the 20 divisions of the event, which will have teams from the 11s to the 17s age groups getting on the court between Saturday and Sunday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas will be on site, covering the tournament and looking for the next hidden gems in Texas. Before that, we'd like to point out some players who could be poised for strong performances this week in the days leading up to the event. She can play on both pins, but has been mostly used on the right and is one of the team's main scoring options. Bynum is not very tall, but she gets off the floor extremely well and has significant firepower in her right arm. She does a very good job of exploring gaps in the block and is also creative and resourceful to adjust to inaccurate sets, turning to tips or tooling the block. A lefty, she has great offensive range and a high contact point, and makes the most of it to put the ball down. Zorn likes to hit a shortened set on the right, taking advantage of her length to beat blockers for the ball. She's a force on the right side of the net for them and gets to contribute on both sides of the ball with her size and power. A six-footer, Hamilton is very difficult to stop offensively because she puts a lot of energy into her approach, resulting in a strong jump and a more powerful swing coming out of her left arm - she also does a great job of finding nice angles to beat defenders. An extremely athletic player, she's a tough matchup for anyone at the net because of how explosive she is and how well she gets of the floor. A lefty, St. Louis has a very diverse offensive game, being capable of hitting quicker or higher sets on the right and having a lot of different shots available every time she goes up. A lefty, she has great firepower in her swings, but is also very technical and has excellent vision, which allows her to score in a lot of different ways.
