‼️Subscribe to Prep Dig using code: digdakotas30

By the time you read this, Day Four of USAV Nationals is likely wrapped up. And if you've been following along, you know it's been an exciting few days. I've been watching courts from every direction, delivering scouting notes and player highlights from across the country—but there's a special spotlight shining on North and South Dakota.

These athletes are showing up with grit, determination, and a level of play that demands attention. It doesn't matter what division they're in—it's the hustle, the energy, and the fight that separates them. And they've been turning heads.

What's even more impressive is the foundation behind these players. Clubs like Sanford Fargo, Volt, and Kairos are making serious waves in the tournament—and it's no accident. These programs are developing more than just volleyball players; they're building confidence, character, and belief. You can feel it in every match. Their coaches are fully invested—not for the paycheck, but for the purpose. They want to see these girls succeed, on and off the court.

As someone who covers athletes from all over the U.S., I can confidently say: the Dakotas are different. The talent here is deep. The programs are rising. And college coaches are starting to take notice. The future is bright—and it's being built right here, in gyms across North and South Dakota.

Now, let's dive into the standout players who made an impact—the ones catching eyes and earning respect on the national stage.

At USAV in Dallas, [player_tooltip player_id='733255' first='Brynlie' last='Richman'] is commanding the court with confidence and control. She's running a fast-paced offense, delivering crisp back sets, quicks, and out-of-system balls with precision. In high-pressure moments, she's calm—dropping in a perfectly timed setter dump or finding her hot hitter in transition. Her ability to read the defense, hold the block, and lead with energy makes her a standout floor general and a setter college coaches should have on their radar.

~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

At USAV in Dallas, [player_tooltip player_id='733931' first='Elsa' last='Basel'] is making her presence known at the net. As a middle blocker, she's quick off the ground, closing blocks with precision and reading hitters like a veteran. She times her transitions well, beating the block on quicks and executing slides with power and control. Elsa's court awareness is elite—she tracks the setter, adjusts to tempo, and brings nonstop energy every play. Her ability to own the middle and impact both sides of the ball makes her a force coaches can't overlook.

~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

At USAV in Dallas, [player_tooltip player_id='727985' first='Taylor' last='Sanders'] is putting on a show as a dynamic outside hitter. She brings consistent power, but it's her line shot that sets her apart—one of the best in the tournament. Time after time, she threads it past the block with precision, leaving defenders scrambling. Taylor terminates in transition, scores out of system, and makes smart reads at the net. Her high volleyball IQ and ability to finish under pressure make her a go-to hitter and a name coaches need to know.

~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

At USAV in Dallas, [player_tooltip player_id='736781' first='Bostynn' last='Evenson'] stands out as a versatile weapon—dominant in the middle and deadly as a right-lefty hitter. She controls the net with aggressive blocking and quick reads, shutting down opponents' attacks. Offensively, Bostynn's mix of powerful quicks and sharp cross-court hits keeps defenses off balance. Her unique ability to attack from multiple positions and her fierce competitive edge make her a matchup nightmare and a top player coaches can't ignore.

~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

At USAV in Dallas, Nahla Fjeldheim dominates the middle with explosive timing and relentless intensity. She shuts down hitters with powerful, well-timed blocks and reads the offense like a seasoned veteran, disrupting attacks before they even develop. Offensively, Nahla commands the net with blazing quicks and aggressive slides that slice through defenses. Her fierce competitiveness, physical presence, and court IQ make her a force to be reckoned with—and a middle blocker every college coach has marked on their watchlist.

Theresa @prepdigdakotas

At USAV in Dallas, [player_tooltip player_id='783727' first='Finly' last='Grefsrud'] is making a big impact in the middle. She's quick on her feet, closing blocks with authority and consistently getting touches that slow down big swings. Offensively, she runs the middle with power—executing quicks, slides, and seam attacks with confidence. Finly's timing, energy, and ability to change momentum at the net make her a key piece to her team's success and a middle blocker to watch.

~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Thank you to all my readers for making this journey possible.
