BRUSA 17-1 William

The Southern Cali Region is stacked with squads who will be looking to show their skills this summer. BRUSA 17-1 William won their USA division bid at the Red Rock Rave National Qualifier in Las Vegas. Their offense is powered by left side attacker [player_tooltip player_id='471111' first='Anaya' last='Francois'] who can throttle the ball with her violent swing. She gets up off of the floor with quickness and it helps her to stay dangerous from the pins. She is the type of hitter who does not cower after a block or missed opportunity. She will keep coming at you and you cannot stop her for an entire match. Opposite attacker Ryan Leonard is another fire-baller who adds to the offense. They are not the only ones who contribute as setter Stephanie Gonzalez loves to send the ball over on two and is very sneaky with it. This squad is very well coached and serves the ball very aggressively to get their opponents out of rhythm. They can all pass very well and it is hard to get them out of system, which keeps their offense aggressive and consistent. Middle Suzanne Kemle is very long and lethal herself. Due to her long arms and quick approach, she will always be a target for her setters to find her. She is powerful, athletic and works hard for her team. They dominated at Red Rock and will look to have the same type of run in Dallas at Nationals. We will be there to cover them.

Austin Performance 17 Adidas

This Lone Star Region squad from the Austin area earned their USA division bid at the Northeast Qualifier this season. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='285214' first='Ivy' last='Waclawczyk'] moves around the court with ease due to her high volleyball IQ and quick footwork. Pins [player_tooltip player_id='484393' first='Jenna' last='Hehman'] and Lynden Besecker are very fast as they shuffle to their touch point out of serve receive and both swing with power to help this team stay aggressive. [player_tooltip player_id='294264' first='Adyson' last='Davis'] is remarkable as she sets and hits for AP. By staying in for all six rotations, she helps them save subs for crucial points at the end of a tight match. Her frame and strength provide a lot to both hitting and setting positions when she touches the ball. Middle Rihanna Rogers and Taliah Angwekwe patrol the net with both speed and precision on the defensive end. They are athletic and quick off of the ground to battle opposing hitters. Adding to the blocking scheme is opposite Kayley Beaman who has great timing on the right side. She presses over really nice at the point of contact and seals the net away from would-be point scorers. This team has had a really nice season and we cannot wait to see them in Dallas competing for a title. Stay tuned for more!
