We are super excited to partner with USA Volleyball once again to run the official college recruiting showcase for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The first session will be held on June 24th and the second session will be on June 29th at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, TX. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Let's take a look at some of the middles who were terrorizing everyone at the showcase with their skills.

Margaret Manzer [2028] 6-1 Middle (HS: Maury/Club: ECVC/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Being long and strong is one thing, but being highly skilled and fast along the net is another. That is exactly what Miss Manzer showed throughout both the positional drills and the scrimmage drills. She was on time for quick sets due to her ability to drive her feet hard into the ground toward her setter. I loved how she got off of the net during defensive transition as she landed from her block and then sprinted to her offensive touch point to wait for the pass to happen. This is a difficult skill to master, but I was very impressed with how this young middle operated in it. She shows some promise to be a very integral part of a college offense in four years. I strongly suggest schools start giving her looks now with what I saw at the showcase. Her court coaches nominated her for a Top Performer award during the event and it was definitely warranted. Please help us congratulate her on a very impressive performance at the USAV GJNC Showcase.

Katy Zumerchik [2028] 5-9 Middle/Outside (HS: Amos Alonzo Stagg/Club: Attack/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Although only listed at five foot nine, Katy played very well above the net. She is capable of playing as both a middle and a pin due to her awesome athleticism and determination to battle at the net against anyone. It doesn't matter if she is slightly undersized as a middle, because no one can measure someone's heart. This young lady was not afraid to match up against anyone at the net and proved that she can play with anyone. Her speed on the court and quick reactions to plays are two aspects that stood out to her court coaches during the scrimmages. We were very impressed with how she performed and think she has a bright future in the sport. Her court coaches nominated her for a Top Performer award during the event and I could easily see why. Please help us congratulate her on a very impressive performance at the USAV GJNC Showcase.

Adesuwa Eweka [2029] 6-2 Middle (HS: Pieper/Club: San Antonio Elite/Verbal: Uncommitted)

One thing I am sure of after watching this young lady compete at the showcase is that she will definitely be listed on our State Rankings List when I publish it after the high school season. As an incoming freshman, she put everyone on notice that she is ready for the big stage. As an attacker, she was easily one of the most impressive middles that battled at the net all night long. She gets up off of the ground so effortlessly and quick due to her fast twitch muscle fibers. Laterally as a blocker, it also helps her to be able to close the block on both pins really fast. She presses her arms well over the net to seal it away from would-be point scorers. If you have not seen her yet, I would strongly suggest that you write her name down as a player to watch in her grad class. You will not be disappointed in what you see from her. Please help us congratulate her on a very impressive performance at the USAV GJNC Showcase.
