We are super excited to partner with USA Volleyball once again to run the official college recruiting showcase for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The first session will be held on June 24th and the second session will be on June 29th at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, TX. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Let's take a look at some of the setters who stole the show with their impeccable skills at the showcase.

Alexis Goodyear [2029] 5-8 Setter (HS: Oak Ridge/Club: SynergyForce/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Miss Goodyear really impressed her court coach by being such a great leader and also by celebrating all of her teammates whether she was on the court or not. They mentioned to me that she was standing out for her performance and when I went over to her court, I saw exactly what they were talking about. Her hands looked very soft when contacting the ball and it looks like she is very comfortable in the position. Her location was impressive as she moved the ball around to all of her hitters. Her serving from the end line proved to be pretty accurate as well. Please help us congratulate her on a very impressive performance at the USAV GJNC Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='721921' first='Emma' last='McIver'] [2029] 5-8 Setter (HS: Devine/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431254' first='San' last='Antonio Juniors']/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Knowing what club she plays with tells me all I need to know about her training. They always do such a great job of getting their players to play to their potential with great mentoring. I could see this in Emma as she was extremely coachable and was eager to do anything her coaches were asking her to do. As a competitor, she looked like she was very hungry to prove herself, even though she is only a rising freshman. Her hands looked like mirror-images of each other as she released the ball and I attribute that to her having great attention to detail with her training. We loved her attitude on the court as she was a true joy to have in our showcase. Her court coaches nominated her for a Top Performer award during the event and I was pleased to award it to her. We will keep our eye on her and her team very closely. Please help us congratulate her on a very impressive performance at the USAV GJNC Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='784977' first='Bianca' last='Blanco'] [2028] 5-9 Setter (HS: Palmer Trinity/Club: Miami Hype/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Miss Blanco has that “it factor” that all floor generals need in order to be a star. On the court, she commanded her troops and used some silky smooth athleticism to maneuver around the court while tracking down passes and digs. While using her jump set, she routinely kept the opposing middle at base for just a second longer in order to create some splits for her pins while attacking. This is crucial for setters to use and Bianca does a great job of it. There is no doubt in my mind that she will have her team ready for everyone at this tourney and show them what the “Hype” is all about. Please help us congratulate her on a very impressive performance at the USAV GJNC Showcase.
