Bryant adjusts to her setter well. She has a tough cutter on the go route. Bryant has a sizzling serve that defenders struggle with.

Beward has a lot of potential for the Bearcats on the outside. She makes things happen at the pins. She'll be asked to step into a bigger role with the graduation of Anderson County's kills leader.

Clark turned into a reliable offensive and defensive player for the Raiders this past fall. Clark has developed different ways to put balls down. She sends hard ones to the back row, but then can adjust to send a soft shot to the 10-foot line. Clark is also a sound passer and server. Clark had 166 kills, 257 digs and 58 aces for the Raiders this past fall.

Edwards turned in a sound first season for the Chargers. Edwards may look to go one way, only to change direction at the last second. Edwards pounds balls away from sound defenders in the back row and can hit them off blockers and out of bounds for big points. Edwards takes nice shots when the team is out of system. Edwards had 109 kills last fall, helping the Chargers go 20-8 and make it back to the 6th Region Tournament.

Kaufman may not have taken many swings for the Bulldogs this past fall, but that could change this fall. Kaufman does a good job hustling on defense, providing nice net coverage. Kaufman sends free balls over with a purpose.

Note from the Writer

Mike Graham has been writing for Prep Dig for one year and has enjoyed getting to know the volleyball scenes in both Kentucky and Ohio.
