The Freshman Showcase in Dallas did not disappoint as there were some amazing young volleyball players giving their all in front of our scouts and court coaches. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of watching them perform because it was their first opportunity for me to get them on our radar for State Ranking purposes. We had 100 players registered and every court had some amazing plays happening. Let's meet a few of the players who earned a Top Performer award from their awesome individual play.

Miss Tennell is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Richardson High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. What is very awesome about Aubrey is just how versatile she is on a volleyball court. She is a very gifted attacker who can really drop the hammer at the last second with her down swing. Right at the point of contact, she crunches her abs and speeds up her wrist snap to add so much more pop into the attack. It explodes off of her hand very violently and disappears from defenders views in a hurry. Her versatility comes in when she steps in to set on her squad. She has great hands and can locate very well during each set. When she plays defense versus a hard driven attack, it looks as if she is just digging it so effortlessly. With her natural soft contact of the ball on her platform, it is safe to say that she will be an asset to any team she is on. We will be watching her progress in the sport very closely. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.

Miss Burgess is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at McKinney North High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. Having a back row defender that is five foot nine inches tall really helps your defense and serve receive. She can cover so much ground and take up plenty of space so that her teammates can operate in only their zone with confidence. I love watching her play defense because she has some awesome court vision and even better reflexes to react to deflections and surprise off-speed shots from opposing attackers. This young lady was born to play defense and it is such a sight to see for volleyball purists like myself. I cannot wait to rank the liberos for this class because she will be setting the bar quite high in the position. Stay tuned to see where she falls on the State Ranking List. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.

Miss Weikle is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Boerne Champion High School and also for the Alamo volleyball club. It was very nice to have a player travel from the central Texas area and compete with some of the amazing players that operate in the North Texas region. Finley stepped up to the plate and was not afraid to mix it up with players she didn't know. I loved how confident she was and she proved that she can ball on the left side. Her overall ball control and elite attacking ability were on full display on the top court. When you watch her play, you see a youngster who is wise beyond her years and showcases a very high volleyball IQ. She sees the block in front of her very well with great court vision and attacks it appropriately with each scenario that presents itself. She moved her shots around and swung with power when she needed to. I witnessed a true six-rotation outside hitter prove that she belongs in the discussion of top players in the 2029 grad class. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.
